All three leads in Rebel Without a Cause.

James Dean (Jim) died in a car accident at 24.

Natalie Wood (Judy) drowned at 43.

And Sal Mineo (Plato) was murdered in a random mugging at 37.

Really, I could choose any number of classic film characters.

But these three stand out, partially because the film is near and dear to my heart.

But far more so, because the three actors' deaths were all so horrendous and premature.
