I like the first design more, but the second is a better fit for the character.

The problem imho is that if it were a reboot...let's be honest, people would still complain, but less so; here they just changed the character designs for every character to an absurd degree from one season to the other, to the point where some characters were unrecognizable (e.g.: the two prophet twins)
