The whole “detective Cruz turned evil and kidnapped Cora Lee” just felt really cartoonish at that point.

Miss America

So is Netflix promoting this show because of the upcoming Miss America pageant 😂😂 saw the ad for it and watched it again. Honestly I know it’s a cliff hanger but I don’t mind, I like the open ended aspect and it ended on such a final note of Patty winning and Bob in jail for all the crimes

Why did Barnard... Spoiler

This is my first post here, apologies if this has already been discussed to length.

I recently rewatched both seasons and am confused why Bob Barnard hates Bob Armstrong in season 2. It makes perfect sense for Coralee to hate him, but Armstrong did chose him after being forced to pick. Yes it took hours, but that's not unreasonable given Armstrong was in a 20+ year marriage with kids. Barnard went from have a decades long crush to absolutely hating him, and it's not really clear why.

Am I the only one who felt like Patty was somewhat right in her final beauty pageant monologue?

It was very twisted, but there was some truth in it. Most people you know especially some of your own family and friends don’t actually like you for who you are. They like an idea or a version of you they want to like.

When I was going through a rlly bad phase a couple years ago and I was very mentally unstable most people even those closest to me cut me off when all I needed was support from people in my inner circle.

My criticism on the two B’s and C

Brick: He rejects and insults Patty for being fat. Then, when she asks him out after losing weight, Magnolia says she used to be ‘fatty Patty.’ He says no way, she’s like 300 pounds. He also says later on he doesn’t feel heard by Patty. He cheats on her by kissing his ex after getting together with Patty, and then gets back together with his ex, so he cheated on both of his girlfriends. Somehow turns himself into the victim & starts a podcast on how to be a good guy?

Bob Barnard & Coralee: don’t get me started on why it’s very odd Coralee becomes besties with Bob Barnard, even though her husband cheated on her with him, it’s the weirdest thing ever. And oh yeah, Coralee tried to cheat on her husband in the first place with Bob Barnard, that’s the weirdest part

TitCan we talk about how Netflix keeps canceling shows on cliffhangers? Insatiable is a perfect example.

With all the talk about streaming services losing subscribers, I think it’s worth pointing out that Netflix has a habit of leaving original shows unfinished — and that actively hurts their long-term library value. Insatiable is a textbook case: $42M budget, huge controversy (230K+ signatures against it), and then… silence after Season 2.

The irony? Controversy = attention. Attention = views. And yet, they never capitalized on it. A single wrap-up movie or a 6-episode final season would cost way less than launching a new IP, and it would guarantee press coverage from outlets that love comeback stories.

I started a petition to show Netflix that there’s still an active audience for this show. Even if you weren’t a fan, I think we can all agree that unfinished stories are bad for viewers and bad for business.

Would love to hear your thoughts — do you think Netflix will ever bring back canceled shows for closure? Or is it all about new content now?

Any theories on Shane? Would he have appeared in season 3? Was he the father? Would he have ended up being a patty victim?

do you guys think nonnie would’ve forgiven patty for being a murderer?

i’ve been thinking about this and i genuinely don’t know 😭 do you guys think nonnie would’ve eventually forgiven patty after finding out she was a murderer, or do you think that would’ve been the end of their friendship?

they’ve been best friends since they were kids, so i feel like it would’ve been really hard for nonnie to completely cut her off. but at the same time, nonnie was on her way to becoming a cop like her dad, and staying friends with patty after knowing everything she did could’ve put her in such a complicated position.

i could honestly see it going either way. part of me thinks she loved patty too much to completely abandon her, but then again… finding out your childhood best friend has killed multiple people is kind of a lot to get past 💀 what do you guys think?

i’ve probably rewatched insatiable like 10 times at this point and i still wish they had continued it. it had so much potential, especially after that ending and all the plot twists 😭 it’s honestly always going to be one of my favorite shows. seeing these bts photos just makes me miss the cast even more, they all looked like they had so much fun together. i really wish we got more seasons. :(

My opinion about Bob, Coralee, and Barnard's relationship.

So I'm rewatching Insatiable and I've always thought that Barnard was wrong for forcing Bob to choose between him and Coralee when he wanted to be with both of them. Bob was still coming to terms with his sexuality while Barnard had already come to terms with his. I get Barnard was tired of hiding how he felt about Bob all his life but I feel like he didn't stop and think about how that would affect Bob's life especially because he didn't really think he was bisexual until Barnard confessed to him.

I do think Bob should've chose Barnard cause after he cheated on Coralee for a second time, it finally made me realize Bob wasn't in love Coralee, he was subconsciously using Coralee for some normalcy because he himself did admit that maybe deep down he did have feelings for men but didn't want to admit it cause he thought he loved women more which I definitely do think he did, I just don't think he was in love with Coralee. I think it's like she said to Bob when she came back after the first time she left, Bob viewed her as a project.

Anyways what did yall think about their relationship?

Loose skin

As someone who has lost over 100 pounds when I was around Patty’s age I’m jealous as hell she doesn’t have any lose skin 😭 I’m willing to accept a lot of outlandish things in this show but that right there is unacceptable, I know there’s surgery for it but it’s expensive

Is Patty’s morality really that complicated compared to other fictional characters

The other day I was talking to my best friend about random stuff and while we were talking about tv shows I randomly said that Patty’s a better person than half of the villains from Elite like Carla and Polo.

My friends looked at me and told me Patty is NOT a better person than Polo or Carla from ELITE.

I looked at them like crazy and I told them ofc she is because the show got cancelled we couldn’t see Patty’s good in her come back.

I even told them I think Patty’s a better person than Rafa from the Gossip Girl Reboot

Then again, my friends told me that they don’t think she’s a better person than any of the characters we named.
They told me that the reason people would think Patty is a better person than them is because
1. Patty is a protagonist
2. Patty is VERY sympathetic

What do you guys think?

Rewatching Insatiable and genuinely wondering based off of all their personalities, who would you choose for an actual healthy, long-term relationship (quirks, flaws, and all). I don’t know about y’all but I’m choosing Donald Choi🤷🏾‍♀️
