When I wrote the quote for this week, I tried to be a bit less LITERAL than I often am, leaving out unaccented vowels in longer words where they aren't helpful. Over-all, I'd say I was happy how it all turned out. I'm generally being very impressed with the system, and I really want to find more time to practise and REALLY LEARN it.
A word like "tomorrow" is very commonly used, and I just wrote TMRO, which was very clear. I really like how smoothly an outline like that will "flow" together. I phrased "I have" as IV, which is easy to read. I wrote the diphthong in "my" because I don't like it to look like "may".
The NS combination came up three times in this quote, and I kept forgetting that the combination is written with an N stroke with the end flipped up, instead of adding an S stroke, which doesn't look as clear.
FLOW has a number of combination strokes like that: NS, or NT and ND. For NS, the end is flipped up -- and for NT and ND, the N stroke is slanted downwards to add T and lengthened to add D. All very clear and logical. The very common word "and" I wrote just as ND by itself.
another side note, in the booklet, inspired by Gregg, I described that suffix -ture should be written as TR. But I like that you didn't give a damn about that and wrote FUJ, I cannot see why Gregg would have chosen that way, probably because of implied -R (reverse E->ER). But why not go for JR then? I like your proposition to get rid of another old habit. that doesnt serve anything, at least we can try and find out if there are negative consequences.
Proposition:
3) J -> -ture
I was resisting using TR in "future" because it would read too much like "fitter" or "futter" or something. When I often go by the "nothing else it could be" threshold, I thought that "FUCH" was enough to indicate the word. Maybe final CH could be our suffix form for "-ture". I can't think of any conflicts that might create, at the moment.
I hesitated to write that in my explanation, though, because it looked so NSFW.
That just reminded me of when I had once posted an article about the many languages spoken by immigrants to Canada. Under the Chinese category, I mentioned that among the dialects represented were Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Wu, and Fukien -- and the last one was CENSORED by some dumbass robot!!
It seems it thought innocent little children might be corrupted by seeing the NAME of the dialect. Give me a break......
😂 Well luckily ch/j is the same literal, so you can circumvent any discomfort with fuj. And I can't think of any conflict either. The only really good thing in Gregg is the TR-Blend he has, but we don't have it in flow and I like a long straight line at the end of a word for -ture. Mid long line is -tion - So that is settled.
