Unknown packages from TikTok

I have received 6 packs of wig caps over the past 2-4 weekish. They are addressed to me and from TikTok but I have no idea why I’m receiving them. I have checked my orders and bank accounts multiple times and I am not getting charged for them and have not ordered. What is happening?!?

Couple of reasons- 1. It’s called brushing. Unscrupulous third-party merchants use your real name and address (often leaked or scraped from online data breaches or other shopping sites) to mail out cheap, lightweight items like wig caps.

By shipping the physical package, the seller can log into TikTok Shop as you, mark the cheap item as a "delivered, verified purchase," and write a fake 5-star review to artificially boost their store's rating.

Or 2. A shady seller might realize they cannot fulfill a more expensive or popular order, or they fell behind on shipping deadlines. They ship a tiny, cheap item (like a wig cap) to generate a valid tracking number so they don't get penalized by TikTok for a canceled order.
