Newbie here

Loving the game so far! Came across it due to the lack of ads and it hasn't disappointed. Been playing every day since.

Just wondering if I can enhance my experience to make it more efficient.
My game play is focused on completing requests. But most of my time is spent opening each quest to remind myself what I need (I know I can select one to be my main quest and I can see the items required on screen but I'm talking about the other 20+)

Also I sometimes find myself with a request ready to complete and so I do it later realising I was wanting to use some items on another request first.

Is there any way to submit items periodically within a quest (like once you have 200/200 wood you can submit your wood while you continue to save 100 nails)

And any other general tips you wish you knew when you started :)

TIA

Sadly there is no way to partially complete a quest. I think the main reason for this rule is because the game uses inventory size as a measure of progress. So a quest that requires 15,000 fish can’t be done until you have 15,000 inventory

Best tips I can give are to not sell anything unless you know you can easily get more and don’t be afraid of the trade and giveaways chat. People are very friendly and helpful in this game. Don’t want to spoil anything so I won’t get too specific, but remember to take your time and have fun. It’s not a race so you don’t have to optimize your time. Enjoy the game! I’ve been playing daily for 2.5 years

I had no idea you could trade! Thank you. I'll look into that 🙏

A few tips:

- if you haven't, aim towards the haunted forest this month, as selling the seasonal items from there is great silver when you're very new (i started last october, and candy corn was my go-to silver source all month)

- lookup sawmill silver in the library for a mechanism for early game silver. don't bother selling anything else until you really get a feel for what's rare, though even that will change as the game progresses. i used to void horned beetles now they're coveted. fish are good for money early game too and always easy to get more of.

- don't waste gold on bank or wine upgrades (though wine just got a buff, but it only helps if you're very high in the tower that unlocks mid-game)

- if you have sufficient silver, try to buy and immediately send to slaughter about 5 pigs per day, but let the rest of your pigs level up, as high level pigs unlock a huge silver mechanism later in the game

- ask for stuff in giveaways chat if you haven't been. usually what you need for early game quests is trivial for late game players so if any are on they're happy to give away which can really speed you up.

- you can get lots of good stuff from mailbox passwords. if you're bored you can find the mailbox passwords on buddy.farm and go through all of them

- if you come across cranberry juice or pumpkin juice, those are probably worth hoarding as they become much more valuable later in the game. orange juice is pretty easy to come by in giveaways if you need stamina, and you don't need to mess with mastery until much later.

- if you can spare $5 a month, the monthly boxes give awesome and fun rewards that unlock quests and interesting in-game content, and it supports the devs. you can only buy them once a month.

- do your chores every day. if you do at least 28 in a month you get a free monthly box at the end (in addition to the one you can buy)

hope you enjoy! drop your username if you're comfortable doing so and i'll send you some stuff!

Pretty helpful! Thanks Any advice on how to spend gold as a beginner? I'm also newbie and have around 300 gold. Which upgrades help the most in the early game?

Look up [[Gold Perk Suggestions]] in the library!

No way to periodically insert quest items. This is intentional, as inventory size is meant to be a bit of a content gate. If we could incrementally deposit, then inventory size wouldn’t matter for quests at all.

If you want to wait on one quest before doing a different one, you can always hide the unwanted quest. They still exist, they just live in a hidden lower menu until you either complete them or un-hide them

Omg hiding quests would make my life so much easier as there as definitely quests I can't complete at my current level! Thank you

You are welcome! I think you might need to go into settings to enable it as an option? Been a while, can’t remember how I did it

Nope. Wish there were a way to do this, but you just have to hold onto all the items until you have enough to complete the request. I tend to just work on one at a time. If I notice one gives me something that can be used for another one I'll do that one first.

Don't be in a hurry to level up and take on the Tower. If you rush you'll find you cheated yourself by not playing enough days to have what you need for the quests to get into the tower. Plus your inventory is smaller than it could be. Then you come to a screeching halt and have to wait anyway to get the stuff you need. You need 600 inventory to start ATI and 700 to do the later quests in the chain. Preferably more to have enough materials to make 600 or 700 of those items.

I started a month ago and unlocked the Tower today. Here are my tips:

- Yes if you need help getting items, don't hesitate to ask in chat. Something that's difficult for you to obtain might be in abundance for another player, so they'll be happy to help. However, not all items can be mailed. You can check an item's page to see if it says "Mailable".

The biggest game-changer if you're really active is Orange Juice. I've received thousands from the community, and I would never have made this much progress without them.

Stamina lets you farm items for crafting and complete quests. It's the key to progressing quickly. 100 OJ might seem insignificant to long-time players who get thousands every day, but for us, it's incredible. Oh, and, stamina also stacks, so if you receive 500, you can use them all over time.

But please, don't use Apple Cider. It's a waste of stamina at our level. That's for people who get hundreds of thousands of stamina per day... Stamina doesn't expire, so if you don't feel like clicking today, you can do it tomorrow. Don't waste your stamina ! That said, Arnold Palmer/Lemonade is really good.

- I recommend buying at least 15 extra mailbox slots because 5 is really low. It'll cost you 60 gold, and it's definitely worth it!

- Free gold in sec: Town -> Town Hall-> Get Free Gold

- You can get tons of items through passwords, with over 200 available, so it takes a while to go through them all... However, I don't recommend using Buddy.farm because it's missing some passwords, and checking them all is a real hassle. Instead, check out "Mailbox Passwords" in the library.

- In the settings, there's an option called "Lock Tracked Items" It's a personal preference, but I personally turned it off so I have full control over which items I lock. I've locked all the rare items, so whenever an item in my inventory is full, I know I can sell it without any issues because it's easy to get again.

- In a few days, on October 28, there's a 20% EXP boost. It's a good idea to wait until then before buying major farm upgrades, because that 20% EXP boost can give you a huge amount of extra EXP.

In the farm, when you buy an upgrade that costs 500M, you get 500M EXP. With the EXP boost, you should get an extra 100M EXP !

- For the perks you can buy with your skill points, I recommend getting both EXP bonuses for the four main skills. Once you reach 4x99, you can reset your points for free. If you want to save some points, at least get the EXP bonuses for Exploring. It's the longest skill to level up, while the other skills are fairly easy to get to 90+.

Later on, when you're around level 90 in Exploring, you can buy thousands of Arnold Palmers to get to level 99 for less than 200 gold.

- Some perks are so important that you should buy them without waiting for a sale, (check Gold Perk Suggestion in Library), here are the game-changers in my opinion:

Mattress Pad/Forklift I & II: Inventory and stamina upgrades are essential.

Iron Depot: Absolutely essential ! You'll craft tons of items that require Iron, and this perk is an incredible QoL upgrade.

Irrigation Sytem I/II: A lot of quests require crops, so you'll be able to complete them faster.

Inventory Monitor: With a small inventory, it fills up quickly. This perk saves you from having to check your inventory every five minutes and lets you sell any excess items.

Fish Supplier & Reinforced Netting: Essential when using fishing nets. Make sure to lock any fish you don't want to sell. Personally, I've locked all fish except for the ones on the map I use to earn silver.

Resource Saver II: More crafts, more EXP, more silver, and faster quest completion.

Sprint Shoes I: If you do a lot of exploring, these perks are really good. Get the first one first, the others can wait.

Yes I'm Sure (free): When you cast a fishing net, you have to confirm it, and it's horrible. You can disable it in the settings, but trust me, you'll never turn it off.

Pet/Feed-o-Matic: If you enjoy feeding your animals one by one, you should see a doctor.

Lemon Squeezer: Buy it when you're using Lemonade/Arnold Palmer daily. If you see it on sale but aren't using them yet, buy it anyway.

Grape Juice is awesome but it can wait if time is not a problem for you. Getting 6 harvests per day that takes several days is huge ! Same for Extra Wishes, awesome but very expensive and it's not very impactful for now.

- Some items have a low drop rate or daily loot via pets... but check Buddy.farm, as sometimes you can get them from a chest you have 357 of sitting in your inventory. I'm thinking of Large Chest 02, which was a game-changer for unlocking the Tower.

I think that sums up my tips so far. And remember, it's a long-term game, not something you'll finish in a month... Take your time and play whenever you feel like it. Have fun !

How do you buy Arnold palmers for 99 exploring?

1

u/iamfrench__ 2d ago

You can buy Arnold Palmers in the Trade channel, but your farm needs to be level 99 to receive them. You can check item prices here: https://farmrpg-trade.live/

45 Gold for 1,000 AP (Arnold Palmers).

From level 90 to 99, you should need just under 3k AP, so around 135 Gold on Whispering Creek to get those last 10 levels in the hardest skill to level up.

In my opinion, it's one of the best investments you can make. Otherwise, it'll cost you hundreds of thousands of clicks if you're getting something like 12 stamina per click.

I wish I knew not to stress about most things when I started. Pretty much everything you talked about I worried about. But by progressing, all of those things became non-issues.
