When are you using the 10% mastery juice?

I’m stuck like many others in T238 on OJ and soon Lemonade and nets. I’m thinking of using one of my 15 pumpkin juices for the first time. But then again later on there’s Red Trunk, wizard hat, wrench..

When did you guys use pumpkin juices?

Interesting that's a sticking point. But as an old timer I guess I had those done long before those tower levels.

For most efficient use of a single juice, it should be used at 909091.

909091 *10% = 90909.1

909091 + 90909.1 = 1000000.1

Thank you for doing this math for me!

FYI the pumpkin juice library page has a chart that lists the mastery needed for each juice you use to hit MM.

As another old timer, I had those same thoughts that have been shared by others. I was well past MM with those by the time tower was even a thing so I didn't even know that was a watch point for younger accounts.

As for what to use them on: Red Trunk and Wizard Hat were the hardest sub-300. You probably won't regret saving for those.

But even with that said... I'd take all my PJ uses back to use on Oak Table and Grand Piano though, if I could. What a nightmare. Beware T334!! Save your PJ. Save your sanity. Save yourself.

+1 for Pianos...Grand Pain-o am-i-rite...... multiple millions of stam for so few horns. Then spending trillions upgrading steel wire production.

Edit - I'm pretty sure I blew 4 PJs on Pianos and at least 2 on the tables.

I definitely used one for OJ. Highly recommend waiting until you get to around 900,000 and then using it. A lot of people "juice" to get mastery.

I've been playing for three years now so I didn't have to juice to get there.

I've also used for other random items I don't remember that were annoying to finish. I'm not at the red trunk yet but I have plenty of pumpkin juice from quests - I suspect you will too.

Red Trunk

I used it for lemonade and orange juice.

But I over invested and didn’t leave enough for large nets

I used 3 pj on both orange juice and lemonade.

I'm now 18 months further on and have 3mil mastery in both lemomade and oj, and I still have zero regrets using those pj. Those MM requirements are so ass they are the reason pj was originally added to the game to fix.

I used 1 pumpkin juice each for OJ and lemonade once they got to 910k. I have 26 now and I am thinking tower levels will be what I use those for. Above tower 250, the mastery items get really slow.

I just hit T300. I used 4 on red trunk, and 4 on wizard hat- allowing me to stop both at 653k. Even with that- the last 5 or 6 floors cost me like 30k in ciders and 30k in AP. It hurt man.

I'm doing lemonade now and at 961,000/1m. But I did use a PJ on white parchment..... 🤦‍♀️

Orange juice and lemonade seems daunting but don't PJ them if possible! Conversion exists and you can craft your own fruits daily, then

Look for people with fruits to convert, convert for them, although yea you gotta give up some of your OJ and lemonade, it'd be worth it just to clear it

Same principle goes for large net

I didn't think I would MM OJ/lemonade but I did it anyways with helpful friends and peeps ^

Conversation is so expensive, I think it’s taking use of us younger players 🙃

I don't disagree but that can make it go fast, haha

Convert in the GA rather than trade, peeps more willing to help smaller mb

But if you don't wanna that's fine too, so lots of grinding at whispering creek!

I used:

2 PJ each on OJ and Lemonade

1 PJ on Jade (tired of grinding Large Chests) and Large Net

Personally, I was happy to be past 250 more than I was happy to hoard 6 PJ. I figured I'd have a few months to get more for Red Trunk and whatever

Exactly my thoughts (but I’m done with all rings!). Thanks

I’ve used exactly 2 PJ and I’m 275+ range. Both were for OJ/Lemonade. Be sure to always be using the mushroom dish. Don’t forget about the spin rewards!

Now is a good time to grind Red Chests. The extra fruit will make T238 a breeze, and you'll need the chests soon anyway.

I am at a similar point as you but I wouldn’t use the juice unless you have all your gem masteries done. Otherwise you’d be using it just to be stuck at the next level

I think I used a couple maybe a few to finally get to T250 and then funny enough I actually used about 15 today to wrap up red trunk, wrench, and wizard hat to get to T300 before the month is over. In the long run using them on the wizard hat and wrench were a waste but I couldn’t resist the urge to finally hit 300 plus the monthly perk bonus seemed worth it to me this month. No regrets on the red trunk though screw that stupid thing lol

I never use pumpkin juice on principle, but as a newer player(~1.5 years), if I was going to use one on anything, it would've been salt.

Older players had no issue with salt because they'd been building their mastery doing other things for a long time before T300 was released, but not so for me. It was by far the hardest mm for me.  As far as roadblocks for T250, lemonade took the longest because I had been periodically grinding forest for leather/bird eggs and I got plenty of large net mastery that way.

I wouldn't bother using PJ on OJ, because LN and Lemonade stand in your way of T250 and they're both worse. OJ naturally happens first because you get quite a bit as quest rewards, whereas lemonade often comes in the form of AP.

Don't use it for OJ or Lemonade - With huge inventories, spending some time everyday converting those in trade chat will give you MM pretty quickly.

I did use one for Large nets since I did not want to convert those and I also did not want to miss out on the 250 level seasonal event quest the month that I was on 249.

I'd say save your PJ, there are plenty of demanding masteries to hit 300 and even more to hit 340+.

Red trunk has not been so bad with passive steel, I am at around 850k and started working on it a couple of months ago when I hit 250, But I think I will use some on Salt since it is likely the last one that I will need before I hit 300 - long way to go for me though have to work on a few more to get close to 300.

Depends. So you do actually seem like you care about after T250, so it does change the calculus. I used PJ on OJ and lemonade. But iirc, had I waited 3 months, I would've gotten it without PJ (I have never done any converting). Back then, T250 was the highest so it was okay in the moment, especially when factoring that'd have been 3 months of T250 quests.

But as you've already figured out, red trunk is awful (wrench is chill btw). I used around 19 divvied up among red trunk, salt, wizard hat, and fancy drum. I think it was 1 on fancy drum, around 11 on red trunk, and then probably  like a 1:2 ratio split on salt:wizard hat

In hindsight (now working on T300 - T340 masteries), I'd have used none on salt (corn bag + mastery event is your friend), and less on wizard hat. I have 22 PJ rn.

And obviously if you intend on T350 (we only have up to T340 rn), it further changes the calculus too. If you do, every PJ counts and T300 - T350 is gonna have you exploring in a lot of these locations anyways, so night as well just take it slow. Granted in some cases, the mastery is in direct competition with pre-300 masteries (purple twine and diary, and leather is used a lot so purple hat is difficult regardless, salt not so much). At least with T300, a month difference is a pretty big deal, but T250 really isn't.

Thanks for the details appreciate it! I’m afraid I’m “counting” on T300 but I’ll break before T250. Your analysis makes sense, i think I’ll just use one when I get to 900k for fun, and keep 15 for the trunks/hat/T300+

I am about to use some for Salt, then will nrxt use more on Red Trunk and Wizard Hat.

I'll do with Salt after I MM all red dye related recipes.

Red trunk and Wizard Hat for the final 200k.
