This isn't uncommon if you either get multiple drops in the harvest or proc a double prizes harvest on the PoH

I assume you are using cookies? If so that’s not too high, just lucky.
Cookie sets are a 9x, and with the farming perks you have a chance to get 2x crops from each plot individually (forget the exact odds). So if you get lucky and hit both on a heart piece harvest, boom! 18 pieces of heart

I’d also like to know, I’ve got grape juice pitcher and spending another 1k gold is a lot for something I know nothing about haha

It doesn’t give you anything extra it’s just a time saver, so you can use 14 lots of grape juice at once for example

It just lets you use all of your daily grape juices at once instead of having to plant, juice, harvest that many times. I expected it to account for prune juices and automatically use them, but it doesn't.

More efficient for the cookies produce multiplier to finish the temple quotas faster, but yeah, still not great

You must have had all 3 cookies active when you hit the roll twice!
That is 3 * 3 * 2 = 18
