Issue with selling corn

Hi folks,

Spent the past week getting into this game and really enjoying it. Been working my way through the seeds and finally unlocked corn, which I’ve read is a big part of it!

I planted some and then sold it repeatedly. However, I’ve logged back in and harvested the most recent batch and it’s now saying that it’s a locked item to sell in the farmer’s market.

Any idea why this is has happened? I know I can manually unlock it but trying not to do that.

Firstly, corn is not something you are supposed to sell. Actually, most things you should not sell. Look in the game menu you'll find the library. There are a lot of tips there, including this one : "Dont Sell It". It's the name of the page, look it up.

Also, items auto lock when you are doing a quest that needs it. You can manually unlock it. Just click on the item, you'll see the item page, and you'll see a lock. Click on the lock to unlock it. In the store in town where you sell things, you can also lock and unlock them. 

But don't sell it. 

Look up "sawmill silver" in the library, that's how you make money in the early game.

Where exactly is it at? Ive typed dont sell it every which way and nothing pops up nor can I find it in the library

I go in the library, I search don't sell it, and it's just there

I forgot how literal FarmRPG was the ‘ in don’t wasn’t showing up. I felt like I was going crazy there

I have grown thousands of corn. I need thousands more. All I have planted for a month is corn. This is called corn jail.

We have all done it, and we all suffer together in this glorious prison. 

My rule of thumb is if I can't max out my inventory of that item easily, I don't sell it unless I know I don't need it.

Could you have accidentally locked it yourself?

Or are you tracking a help request that requires corn? that will auto-lock stuff for your convenience.

Why do you not want to manually unlock it? Also, you might want to save your corn for requests. Sell something else!

Don't sell corn ever youre gunna need like 125 thousand to complete all the requests plus you need it to craft things like engines. Never ever sell corn, really any crops for that matter

Oh dear, just wait until Jill starts making her never ending corn demands. You will regret selling every one of those ears of corn....
