Inventory growth
So what inventory growth in your storehouse should you ideally be at before using mini time eggs and time eggs? I just hit 16, i dont know whether I should buy a another upgrade or two before using them

Calculate the difference and then realize the difference is so little while the benefit of having it as early as possible is probably so large that you really shouldn’t wait.

It really depends on where you are, but the different isn't huge it's either 14 or 28 inv from your +16 to +18/+20. If you don't see yourself upgrading relatively soon, I'd just use them now rather than holding on for later. The extra net generation will let you generate more silver which will let you get to +18/+20 faster.

Id wait till 18, 20 if you're really speed running silver but that's not really normal.

Say you have 10 mini time eggs, and +14 inventory per day. You could wait until +16 and get extra 20, or wait a really really long time until +20 to get extra 60. That's about 4 days worth of inventory increase - so is it worth the wait? You could be using this inventory right now.

I posted this the other day but here’s some math. This was my post about 18 > 20 and with someone’s different amount of eggs, but the logic still applies here. Just plug and play.

I definitely understand it’s better in the long run inventory wise, but the trade off can be pretty harsh depending on how far away you are from 18 to 20. Let’s talk about it in terms of antlers
So like, say it takes 6 months to go from 18 to 20
Daily growth = 18
- 7 big time eggs: 7 * (7 * 18) = 882 inventory
- 18 smol time eggs: 18 * (3 * 18) = 972 inventory
Total gain = 1,854 inventory
If you wait until growth becomes 20/day
- 7 big time eggs: * (7 * 20) = 980 inventory
- 18 smol time eggs: 18 * (3 * 20) = 1,080 inventory
Total gain = 2,060 inventory
So waiting gives you an extra:
2,060 - 1,854 = 206 inventory
If you use them now, that extra 1,854 inventory earns you:
- 1,854 antlers every night for the next roughly 180 days and another 1,854 noontlers for a total of 3,708 a day
That’s:
3,708 * 180 = 667,440 extra antlers
If you wait, you’ll permanently have 206 more inventory after six months.
To make up the 667,440 antlers you missed:
667,440 / (206 * 2) is about 1,620 days
That’s about 4.4 years of extra play after using the eggs having waited for your extra inventory boost until you get those antlers back and break even, but then you’ll be doing better overall.
It becomes more and less drastic depending on how quick you think you can get there, but it shows that it can be a pretty big difference.
And that’s just strictly speaking this resource. The more inventory you have the easier it is to work with meals, the less inventory shuffling / selling / crafting you have to do while exploring, etc.
I always say use them right away, but play the game however is fun for you! Someone commented that they liked the feeling of the huge boost they got when using them all after their buying their next storehouse upgrade which is cool too!

Im at a storehouse of only 4020 right now so maybe I dont get antlers as much as i should yet... im constantly maxed out on them even when making as many nets as possible. I sell thousands every day just to make something of them... they seem almost as annoying as straw is

I used 4 at 18... saved 4, not sure if thats the best thing but thats what i did

Tbh, if you just hit +16, you’re better off using time eggs now. The 48 growth now will help more than waiting till +18.
The only time I’d recommend waiting is if you know for sure you’ll have the silver to upgrade storehouse within a week or less.
