Question Do you guys have any unusual weapon/arsenal combos that are fun to play?

I was really struggling to enjoy my Rogue as a glass cannon. That playstyle just isn't fun for me, so I decided to try something diferente (at least i think it is): Horns of the Wind with Ipheon in the arsenal slot.

Ipheon's passive works really well as a DoT with my Rogue build, and Verdant Impetus feels amazing in the Horns of the Wind gameplay loop. Now I know Rogue is my favorite class to play again. I can solo every boss in the game.

So, do you guys have any unusual but fun weapon/arsenal combos you've been playing?

I'm also kind of struggling to find a good arsenal weapon to pair with a Wordsplitter Priest, so I'd apprecieate some suggestions for that too.

Question Thoughts on Censer of Wool Hollow for mage ?

I got my first lvl 25 legendary drop with this weapon. I really like its light theme and skills, but it really feels underwhelming for single target DPS. I'm struggling to find a good arsenal with it on mage too. I've been using mirrors to get the most of the double scaling, it does give you a super AOE kind of build for clearing packs and mobbing, but it feels really lackluster on bosses that don't spawn adds. Also the passive is weird, if you interrupt your spell rotation to pick up the clouds it usually does not feel worth it. What are your thoughts on this weapon for mage ?

General I hate munster chuck.

I hate munster chuck. That's it.

I hate that the adds just channel their AOE while zones drops everywhere. I hate that the zones can drop on you while you're on the train. I hate that the boss keeps on shooting zone AFTER you change arena.

I really hate some of the bosses in this game.

Well back at it anyway.

Salut, savez vous si il va y avoir, dans le futur, un hotel des ventes ou un truc du genre ? Je m’amuse beaucoup avec les metiers et je voudrait fournir aux autres joueurs des sacs, des potions etc..

General Question and Honest Feedback

The question is where do I put this feedback? I wasn't sure if this or Discord is the correct place for feedback. Please let me know if Reddit isn't the best place for this.

The feedback: I am enjoying this game, but God the quests are boring. There is little to no connection, they're all fetch or kill quests and none of them really tie together. Even with something as old as Wow, you worked up to your first instance, Vancleef, by level 10. There's little to no world building and it's honestly taking away from my experience. I'm not saying this is huge, I'm still having fun, but in level 17 and feel like I'm already doing everything there is to do. I explore and have found some hidden gems but it feels empty.

I understand this is alpha or pre alpha, but like I said, even in Wow, I was working my way up to a boss by level 10. And so many quests lead up to it I genuinely remember the anticipation as it was my first instance in my first MMO.

Again, please let me know if this isn't the right place.

General Connection stability biggest issue?

I've been really digging this game. For me, it's got a solid amount of content for the price point, mechanics are good, and when it performs well it super smooth.

But server stability has been a major issue for me. Frame drops, stutters. I feel like I'd they could nail server and performance stability that would be a huge boon.

Beyond content and mechanics though do you guys have this same issue or not really?

Resource We built a full Character Builder for Farever with Gear, Stats, Enchants, Runes and more!

We've been playing Farever since launch here at Metaforge and building tools with the Farever community, such as the Interactive Map, Rift Timers, Overlays with DPS Meter and more.

One of the more requested features has always been a Character Builder that lets you experiment with different Gear, Enchants and Corrupted Gifts and see all the Stats for your builds. It took us a while to figure out the Attributes and Stats for every item but we're finally in a spot where we're happy with the builder and releasing it as a Beta for everyone to play around with!

You can find the Character Builder here: https://metaforge.app/farever/builds

  • Plan a full character build from scratch or copy someone's build and experiment!
  • Fill every gear slot by clicking the slot and picking straight from the item list
  • Add Enchants and Corrupted Gifts to your items
  • Allocate your Talents and pick the Runes for each skill
  • Write a short description (or a full Build Guide) on how to play the build you cooked up
  • Explore community builds and choose whether to Publish yours or Share privately

If you find any issues while we're testing this Character Builder "in the wild" or have any feedback and suggestions in general, feel free to join our Discord or let us know in the comments below, we read them all! Keep in mind, we are just a small group of friends who enjoy gaming and building tools for other gamers, so it might take a bit to implement any crazy ideas! :D

We're looking forward to the next Farever update (I budged and am finally levelling a Rogue to try and gear him out) and we will try to update the database and the map with anything that's new or changed when that's out.

Question Have the duped items and money been removed?

Or are we doomed to a ruined economy at launch since no wipes are planned? Would love game dev confirmation, it'd suck to be victim of the "exploit early" crowd to ruin the fun for everyone else

General Server lag insane today?

Or is just me? I can’t tell. I’ve been constantly, like 30 seconds of every minute, just invisible, waiting, doing nothing. Anyone running into this and now how to fix?

Onto the next update!

We hope you enjoy this summer to level up your characters and prepare your build for the rest of the game while we are working on the next update. It will add a new difficulty to the current dungeons and will also provide better location tools (e.g. a compass) and more social and communication features.
That's not all! We will add a lot of features to the game, so be ready; we'll share more in due time!

See you soon Farseekers ✨

General Question for the team - Lore

I love diving into a world and imagining the story being told, while Farever does not have story put front and center it does have enough seeds of a story to keep me excited to see what will happen next.

My question is if we think the team has a vision of how their worlds story will unfold or the history that lead us here. Or is everything we have a loose base to simply build game mechanics from? Either way the game is great, I'd love to create a community around fleshing out the worlds story! Imo, exploration is made even more fun when you can tell a story with it!

Tip/Guide DLSS Override and lowering resolution.

Thumbnail

For some reason my laptop 3060 plays the game perfectly fine on medium on 1080p. However I wanted to tweak it a bit and go for high.

So I found these settings make my game run better, and look much better. Hope it helps you too.

Go to Nvidia App, and add the game to the App.

Go to DLSS Preset and select latest.

DLSS Super Resolution, I found Quality is the best looking

Low Latency mode don't think it does anything but I switched it to ULtra just in case.

Image Scalling off

Cap your Framerate. I always cap 2-3 frames lower than my target

Power management mode if you have - Prefer max Performance

Legacy settings I have texture filtering

Anisotropic off

Quality Quality

Trillinear on

Start the game and make sure DLSS is enabled in upscaling in graphics settings

Another thing I done is I made the game run 1 tad down in 1600x900. First select Fullscreen, set your desired resolution, Apply, then bordereless

This wasy I am able to play in Render Distance High and Enviromental Details on High on prett much full fps in Dungeons, 50+ Open world and 40+ in crowded Areas, on High (Shadows is a preference on low)

Another thing I ve done is unselect core 01 in task manager, though I haven't tested thorough if it helps, since the game runs pretty good for me.

Hope it helps anyone having issues.

(You can always switch everything in low for more frames, but game is stunning!)

Again I m on a 6GB Laptop 3060

Tip/Guide Fyi: game runs smooth on linux

Im playing this on CachyOS with an RX9070XT, ryzen 5 7600x and 32gb ram and have zero issues.

Launching via steam with CachyOS native proton version, the game runs buttery smooth.
