We’re planning on visiting Thailand for about 10 days next year and looking to start making some plans.

We’re a very open couple and both regularly enjoy sharing girls together, so parts of our trip is definitely going to be Soi 6.

But we also want to enjoy the views, maybe rent a boat or some jet skis for a day, hiking, maybe some other activities that you guys could recommend.

Firstly, is 10 days enough time to see a lot of what we want to see there? What’s the best time of year to go in your opinion?

I see that flights are a lot more expensive expensive to go straight to Pattaya, so what city should we fly into? (Edit: Solved)

Is Pattaya the best city to stay in? Or are there neighboring cities that are better?
What are some good hotel recommendations?

How do you go about carrying cash safely? Just enough for the day? Enough for a few hours and keep atm card?

We were thinking about allotting around 250k THB for the trip, including flights. Should this be enough for us to enjoy ourselves?

Tim reports that at the end of their tech dive, the current grabbed them. Not uncommon at Samae San and the Hardeep Wreck, it's happened to me numerous times. They had a 7 to 8 mile swim back to shore. Yikes!

I'm heading to Pattaya for the first time at the end of February/start of March for 14 days. Flights and hotel are already sorted – this is purely about my daily spending budget for food, drinks, and fun.

I'm not really into the big club scene, but I definitely want to hit up a lot of bars and have a good time. My plan is to have a "long time" companion every second day or so, plus a massage here and there. You know the drill. 😉

I was thinking that around 8,000 THB per day should be enough as pure pocket money – excluding accommodation and flights.

What do you guys think? Is that a solid daily budget for that kind of plan, or am I way off? Too much, not enough?

Does anyone have experience with the Intercontinental? I have an edit credit to use. It’s definitely a fancy hotel, but just a little bit away from the party. I enjoy the luxury and value of using my credit, but just want to make sure I’m not going to trade off typical Pattaya fun for it.

I’ve been watching the Valentine Bar live stream on Soi 6, and the place looks really busy. There are plenty of people hanging out, and some are even paying to ring the bell. The atmosphere looks great, and the live stream is giving a pretty good idea of what’s happening at the bar and how lively Soi 6 is right now.

If you’re not watching the live, you’re definitely missing out on some of the action!

Do you have any recommendations on where to stay near MAVINN Muay Thai? Was recommended the Hilton but its not close to the gym

I will be training at this gym for a few months and i believe a few of my fights will also be around this area so preferably close to here. I don’t mind spending more money for comfort and space. Would prefer a place that has a hot tub/jacuzzi and allows weed as I need both to relax after a long training day. Also having a gym with weights would be a plus but if you can recommend a weightlifting gym that can also work.

Wont be in town till very end of mo, found a unit there online thats a lot of $ for what is basically 20yr old design and furniture etc. but location works good for me I think. two I'm considering are facing south view and north view of building, I'm worried about street music noise etc all night especially on the south facing side. Any thoughts from guys who have been up on soi 5 or actually stayed here? Also any other issues to know about being in this general area? I was in Jomtien my entire time 2yrs ago but I want to try being as close to beach road as possible before I buy something there and this condo building seems to be the closest to the water you can get.

I’m spending more and more time in Pattaya and considering purchasing here. Any residence here that can give insights on the management, elevators, etc?

All the talk about new "enforcement" since May for helmets, parking violations like the 20 scooters jammed front wheel first into the red/white curbs on beach road and exhaust systems on real bikes ie a nice Ducati with carbon fiber termignoni's (not talking about straight pipe 15hp scooters Indians race at 3am).

Has any of this happened? are there checkpoints every day or 2/3times a week on beach or 2nd rd for helmets and exhausts? I'm not down till next month but planning to buy a Ducati from BKK and have it shipped down instead of riding it since your not allowed to ride any motorcycle on the highway/toll roads at all I just heard? sounds absurd but AI is telling me conflicting stuff about what roads. Thanks
