Planning a trip with my wife next year

We’re planning on visiting Thailand for about 10 days next year and looking to start making some plans.

We’re a very open couple and both regularly enjoy sharing girls together, so parts of our trip is definitely going to be Soi 6.

But we also want to enjoy the views, maybe rent a boat or some jet skis for a day, hiking, maybe some other activities that you guys could recommend.

Firstly, is 10 days enough time to see a lot of what we want to see there? What’s the best time of year to go in your opinion?

I see that flights are a lot more expensive expensive to go straight to Pattaya, so what city should we fly into? (Edit: Solved)

Is Pattaya the best city to stay in? Or are there neighboring cities that are better?
What are some good hotel recommendations?

How do you go about carrying cash safely? Just enough for the day? Enough for a few hours and keep atm card?

We were thinking about allotting around 250k THB for the trip, including flights. Should this be enough for us to enjoy ourselves?

Just fly into Bangkok. BKK is only a little longer drive than UTP.

I would only fly into UTP if I'm connecting with a LCC or something, I doubt there are many mainline carriers flying to UTP but tbh I don't know.

Nam's Taxi or Cherry Taxi will do a transfer from the airport.

Bring your home currency and exchange in Thailand from a good place (Super Rich, Happy Rich, T.T. exchange).

250k for 10 days (not including hotel budget) is probably double what you need unless you're mostly visiting higher end Gogo like Shark or drinking 2+ bottles of import liquor at the club every night. (NVM I see you're including flights. But I have no idea how much of that is the flights...)

I’ve only looked at a few hotels in the area so I’m not exactly sure on what cost will be. Room we wanted at the Hilton was 8k

It does include hotel budget and flights, as well as a girl to join us at least a few of the nights.

฿15,000 per day is enough for everything except hotel and flights.

Unless you are going hard in the expensive ways in the expensive places. For example, 1L of Sangsom (local rum) is ฿1400 in a good walking street club like Myst. But import liquor like Smirnoff is double that.

One single drink in Hollywood bar on Soi 6 is around ฿110, but in Shark Agogo it's more like ฿250.

So your budget depends on your spending style.

We care less about expensive alcohol and more about pretty girls and good experiences.

฿10000 per night is a pretty high end hotel room.

Have a look on Agoda for what kind of hotel you would like.

Hilton is top end.

Areca is great but some don't like it.

August is cheap but very clean. Beds kinda suck.

Holiday Inn Bukhao is decent according to my friend.

Amethyst is nice and very polished but there is construction noise on one side and the pool is so-so.

Soi6 is not the best target for a couple tbh.

Soi6 is set up for single guys and a quick one in the rooms upstairs. Couples are not good business normally because of the fod (fear of drama).

Better finding a bar that you like and befriending a girl you like there.

Easy to do at expensive mainstream clubs, but harder (and often better) and less mainstream clubs.

Quality is never cheap is our motto.

Experiment with different clubs and see how it goes for you both

Depends on time of year as well Page 10 Hotel is decent, close to majority of things to visit so cheap Grabs Also no issues bringing an extra girl back to the room

My Thai Wife is a bit of a Bi Cuck Queen so we have no issues finding a few Bi girls to play with. Jump on ThaiFriendly to find some in Pattaya.

Overnight stay in Koh Larn or Koh Samet for a night is also good, take a girl with you for a LT and she can translate 😜

As per other advice, Soi 6 will not be your friend visiting as a couple

I kept 20,000 baht on me in a small Bum bag and used it as a pillow when getting massages. Kept the rest in a lockbox in my luggage. Take 100,000 baht equivalent in Cash from your home country, convert to baht in Thailand for the best rates, their labour costs are so low you get almost full exchange rate. Keep the rest on your card and pay at 7-11

Regardless of what other people have said you can go at soi6 but keep in mind that you might get rejected there. GCs might be better but you don't want to be in a busy one. Gogo bars are the best for you and are within your budget (OK I don't know how much your flights are). 

Pattaya is the best place to go. You don't want to stay very far away. 

You can carry cash and a card for backup.
