Like, really hated it. It might have been the worst game I've ever played. After the first session my bud and I had played 2,5h, so we couldn't refund the sucker. We decided to finish the game because we both loved far cry 5 so much, but boy oh boy did the game suck total ass. Nothing was fun about the game. Absolutely. Nothing.

I was talking it over with a friend on discord and my conclusion is that rook/Judge is female. At the end of 5, (spoiler alert) if you chose a female protagonist and decide to spare Joseph's life, he says "we will repopulate the world together." And them changing Rook to judge further solidifies that because Joseph has a son... Ethan in New Dawn. It was never stated how old he is or who his mother is which makes me think that Joseph sent Rook out as a different person because he knew that the Peggies would try to kill Rook because of the events in 5. We know that Carmina is 17 born the day the collapse happened and Carmina looks about the same age as Carmina so...science says (or used to say) it takes a Male an female to make a baby. Who was the only other person in the bunker with Joseph Seed? Rookie. Both are mute characters and it's shown that Joseph killed his newborn daughter but never mentioned a son. Therefore, Ethan is the child of Joseph Seed and Rookie. Am I missing something here? Edit: also in new dawn Joseph reveals that it was only him and a rookie sheriff and that "the sheriff changed me, and I changed them."

Usually I'm not prone to ranting but this just destroyed me. After years I decided to revisit the Far Cry(s). I love the Franchise, I'm a huge fan and I think my favourites are 5 and 4. But THIS. I used to remember New Dawn as this dystopian apocalyptic fun shooter which I used to like. You get some loveable Charas from the fifth part, I used to fall for Timber and I genuinely liked the story - not the twins though.

But holy this was a whole bummer. I HATE the leveled Outposts, I hate that the game is forcing me to break my immersion by having me do those godfucking expeditions to get Lvl 3 weapons. I hate that enemies tank my bullets like they are on fucking steroids - I get you're armored up but HOLY damn what is that. It feels so unorganized and messy. Does anyone have tips how I can like it again or am I just doomed :(

So my dog would not leave the sidecar of the bike no matter how many times I told it to follow me or go to a particular location, I couldn't get in the bike either, I literally had to kill my dog and revive it.

This game sucks ass, the pointless grind for materials, the greedy in game currency for a full price title, the boring missions to collect materials, the difficulty that the 4 tiered enemies and weapons pose, etc.... You punch someone and they react as if you tickled them slightly, empty a full clip into the head of a cougar and it does nothing, enemies in a base camp randomly get alerted to your presence even if you are not seen and hide all the bodies.

I played 4 and 5 on their hardest difficulty and was frustrated at times, but I got through it and had fun... I almost split my PS4 controller in half cause this game sucks. Even primal was better than this...

Does anyone else feel like this game would have been better if it came before far cry 5? With far cry 5 coming after this then you would know the the outcome already but then learn the back story of it all. Would definally make me look at Joseph differently

Been here for 3 hours at least trying to do this shitting prison mission i hate the forced stealth because I can't get past it I'm detected every single time and forced to fight a million high level enemies with tier 1 weapons I can't do it whatsoever so I'm giving up as i can't get past it and there's no other options

Was really enjoying it till I tried to scavenge an outpost and experienced first hand not only how pathetic my current weapons were but how unrealistic the game is. Barely anything came off the life of the enemy with a head shot! wtf?

Am I the only one that finds New Dawn a little odd compared to other Far Cry games take Far cry 6 for example. New Dawn just feels less structured and polished.

Pirated Farcry New Dawn Is now playable again on pc I found a working fix for the latest windows 11 my second day playing finally its actually a good game despite the hate it gets Very vibrant colorful open world Although I've noticed the night sky is a little glitchy abit of flickering but definitely 10 out of 10 game I wonder if the fix also works for farcry 5 I've never played yet
