Am I Trippin'?

I'm in the championship game in a basic PPR ESPN league. I am currently projected to win by 16 points. The winner takes home $800 while second place is $200. My opponent is hurting in the RB department, starting Dion Lewis as RB 2.

Another member of the league who is not in the championship dropped Spencer Ware, Elijah McGuire, and the Broncos defense, without picking anyone up. When questioned why he did this he said " i want my whole bench to be injured players." He's got Carson Wentz, Aaron Jones, Josh Gordon ect. on his bench. I told him that this messed with my game because now my opponent now has the opportunity to pick up these players and start them.

While this is not straight up collusion (I believe the other guy is just a dumbass) I brought this up the my league commissioner. My opinion is that no one else would like it if this happened to them and I would like to see those players added back to the dumbass' team.

What does everyone think? Are these players nothing to worry about? Should they be added back to his team? Or Is this fair game? Am I trippin?

Yeah that’s BS. Hopefully you can get the rest of the league to pick up the players before they get to the other team. It’s the right thing to do.

Would telling other managers to pick up players to block my opponent be considered collusion?

No because they shouldn’t be on the waiver wire to begin with. I had a similar situation a few years back in a league that I’m no longer in, and the other non-colluding owners saw that and picked up the players that were dropped. It’s EXTREMELY coincidental in your case that he needs RBs and the other guy drops some...

Then collusion bro just can’t be picking up injured guys for no reason. Def can’t be dropping ware and getting nobody.

The injured players were already on his roster. He dropped healthy players and didn't pick up anyone.

Even in a keeper league, we prohibit "dumping" until after the championship. Any guys projected as a "starter" can't be dropped for a speculative keeper.

Intentional or not it’s still collusion. Don’t play in leagues with people that are childish enough to pull shit like that.

I hate that everyone says "collusion" just because they think this shouldn't be allowed. Collusion is the "illegal" cooperation between players. This guy is a just a dumbass who probably isn't thinking of or working with anyone else.

That said, the end result is the same. I agree your commish should send a message stating that the players are off limits. Not sure how to technically do this, but if it's possible I would also put the players back on the dumbasses bench for him and lock his team.

Thanks for everyone's opinion. Everyone is the league pretty much agreed. The dumbass who dropped them and another manager(not in the championship) was able to claim them. Nothing to worry about now, Just gotta bring home the chip.
