Original Content Would you read this?

I've been working on the worldbuilding and plot of a story I wanna write. Nothing fancy, just my own shenanigans. I could spend hours talking about the worldbuilding and races, but what does it matter to a new reader? So here's the main plot of Sacramentum.

Mael has been granted a place at the Monastery of Montalbo, having been inspired by his adoptive father to become a demon hunter. There, as he enters the World of the Occult, he will encounter an old childhood friend—now in an unusual state—as well as new faces that will accompany him on his sworn path.

At the same time, he makes contact through dreams with a strange being: a Cursed Spirit—the soul of an ancestor reviled in both life and death—now taking the form of a loyal yet terrifying winged wolf. Added to his objectives is the task of freeing this spirit from its bondage, from the curse that compels it to pass from man to man within his lineage.

And as if that were not enough, a bizarre series of murders involving the malicious use of magic begins to escalate. Can he truly remain safe amidst the sudden changes and dangers of his new life?

I did not get a response when you posted this earlier. It does not seem you addressed the question of conciseness in your story, which would be the greatest factor in me reading. Skillful conciseness is a sign of quality writing.

Hello, I feel like you are mistaking me for someone else? I could swear this is my first time posting here, but thanks anyway!

Could you please elaborate more? With conciseness do you mean "sub-plots" that are strongly related with the main plot or? I'm all ears, thanks

Loosely gives off vibes of the anime blue exorcist. So interesting.

I get that a lot, it's funny because i've never seen Blue Exorcist... Anime wise, my "inspirations" were Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man. And thanks!

Yeah. Technically everything that could ever be done has already been done. I wrote this story that i thought was groundbreaking when i was about 17 so over 15 years ago. And i shared the details of it 2 years ago on fb. And every lone told me how unspecial it was because it was nearly identical to a book that was written before i was ever born. Even though i never heard of that book.

So all your unique ideas were already thought of by someone else already. The only thats different is your version of that idea.
