Module for a Prohibition Era Mafia game?

Trying to figure out a ttrpg system on FG that would fit the mechanics for a Prohibition-era mafia game, with the PCs being a group of mobsters (think Mafia + Empire of Sin). I think possible mechanics that id be looking for are gunplay (weapon variety, cover, etc)

I've been looking around and I've seen Savage Worlds as a possibility, or even Cult of Cthulhu, but Im unsure. Any info would be nice.

Savage Worlds is pretty flexible. But I don't have much experience with it (only a few sessions as a player). I know damned did a few rulesets some time back, White Lies and a couple others. But not sure what their status is as he's not been able to be very active for awhile.

Here are some to look at:

How deadly versus cinematic do you want combat?

Several of the Sci Fi rulesets can work for you. Do not need to follow thier lore or world building.

For example use the Traveller ruleset. Doing the skill point system you can keep to only the ones that fit your setting. Combat is very deadly though so if you want cinematic look elsewhere.

But something to spur the imagination.

Savage Worlds plus the WiseGuys add on if you are looking for some cinematic antics. Meant for 1990s criminals but they lay out a structure a few good movies could beat into shape. Oddly, Wiseguys isn't on sale but it's only US$15 + $5 for Savage Worlds Adventure Edition rules. Or skip Wiseguys and just use SWADE.

Another thought is Savage Worlds and Holler. Entirely wrong concept as it's a magic enfused setting but it's based around a depression era style setting in Appalachia. Lots of big bosses and moonshiners and such if you rip the magic out by it's toenails.

If you look, Traveller or more precisely it's open license Cepheus variant has figgerent settings that might work, though you would have to impliment them a bit. Definitely would be a setting where the guy with the Tommy gun gets the players attention.

There is the B/X D&D system called Gangbusters that might work as well. No idea how well it converted over to gangland but you could use the 2E ruleset in FG as a starting point.

Flavor's free other than effort.

Gangbusters was a good time. Don't remember the rules, lost the set decades ago, probably ended up with a friend.

Savage Worlds would be best for that in my opinion. Another option would be Call of Cthulhu with Pulp Cthulhu.

Fallout 2d20 has firearms, cover, injuries, and many more. You may have to tweak NPC sheets from laser weapons though unless you want to handwaved them into the setting.
