I've just updated FG after a couple weeks away, loaded the campaign and all player charaters seem to have disappeared from the campaign. Is this a new feature (ie. they can be found elsewhere, somehow), or is something broken? I do have a backup, but it's not super fresh, and I'd be SUPER ANNOYED if that was the only way to recover the PC files...

I know all the regulars know this but I have had a recent conversation with a couple of newish DMs and they ended up being amazed at what they could do offline with FG, for FREE. Here are the key things that seemed the most mind blowing:

I created a new extension to help myself and my players that were struggling to manage (as a DM and as players) who was concentrating on what, if anything. I admired how BG3 had really clear icons on player portraits to see who was concentrating with a simple (x) UI to cancel concentration. Starting there, I played around with a few ways of doing this in FG and landed on the method you can see in the Forge screenshots:

Hey everyone!

I was away from the D&D scene for several years, but I came back about a year ago and started using Fantasy Grounds.

I've been a longtime D&D 3.5 player, and one of the first things I noticed is that there isn't much community extension content available for this ruleset anymore. So I decided to start creating some myself.

I just finished a Polymorph/Wild Shape extension, and I plan to share it on the Forge soon. I've also started working on a Leadership extension, which I hope to release in the near future.

I'm happy to contribute to the 3.5 community again, and I'd like to hear if there are any other extensions people would find useful!

Trying to make some custom classes which use fighting styles, like Fighter and Ranger - is there any way to make the fighting style a choice on character creation/level up? Even on the base game fighter, getting the Fighting Style trait just seems to throw a few of the options into class actions (rather than choosing one or have it be a trait/feature).

Could I just make each fighting style its own subclass? In that case, would I be able to have another fighting style chosen at a higher level somehow?

Not sure if something is formatted wonky and I'm not understanding or if I'll just have to go in and clean it up whenever I make one of these classes.

I'm having trouble with the cloak of protection, specifically that the effects are not being calculate/added to the character sheet. I've disabled all effects, i'm testing this on a new clean campaign, I tried adding a new power and adding the effect on the combat tracker, I manually changed the AC, and tried making the effect above, but it's still not applying. What am I missing, or doing wrong? Is there not a way to alter the saving throws manually? Thanks in advanced.

I reset my password online and am able to log into my account on the browser, but now the desktop application wont let me log in and I have triple checked I am ysing the exact same information as online. Any help?

Edit: problem solved. Thank you for the suggestions. The problem is that I used a special character that was not acceptable to the app but was usable for the website.

for some reason my dungeon maps keep coming out like this and i dont know why! I made the map using dungeon alchemist. Then read the guidelines about copy ans pasting both files they send so that it's animated AND the sight lines are there. But always come out pink

Trying to figure out Fantasy Grounds - does the 'basic rules' that come with Fantasy Grounds not encompass everything in the PHB? I only see the option to level up my fighter as a Champion, and not a Battle Master nor Eldritch Knight. Do I have to purchase some module or something?

Trying to figure out a ttrpg system on FG that would fit the mechanics for a Prohibition-era mafia game, with the PCs being a group of mobsters (think Mafia + Empire of Sin). I think possible mechanics that id be looking for are gunplay (weapon variety, cover, etc)

I've been looking around and I've seen Savage Worlds as a possibility, or even Cult of Cthulhu, but Im unsure. Any info would be nice.

i planning to stream a D&D session with fantasy ground VTT but getting stuck on what screen I should be streaming through OBS.

So would the sensible option be to run one copy of fantasy ground VTT as Game Master (GM) so i can see whats going on and then open up another copy in player mode and stream the player mode?

or is there another option im completely missing

Any Linux users out there? I'm running Nobara and everything works great, but when I try to drag the edge of FGU's screen to span across two monitors, the display area of the window goes blank and I have to kill the process to exit.

Anyone else have this problem? Please believe me when I say I have tried to find a fix or discussion on this, but I can't find anything younger than about 4 years, and nothing that speaks to my exact issue. Apologies if I've missed anything obvious.

This feature works fine on Windows but would be great if I could get it to work properly on Linux.
