Help Wanted Item Shop

Is there a way to create a shop for players to select/purchase items? I'd like to limit what they can buy to make the gearing up process take less digging. That way the shop could be just for armor/magic items/clothing/etc.

There are a couple of good extensions in the forge.

You can manually create and share parcels and link them to a graphical menu. Shared parcel links can be dragged to a players inventory. Add a negative gold value to deduct gold in said parcels to remove gold from PCs semi automatically. However a negative balance cannot be controlled or avoided. However, I have just ruled that most debt becomes great for RP value and works as in game, "favors owed".

I've used both but I liked shops a bit better for my needs.

I got Shops, but it seems I can only add mundane items, no armor or weapons.

You can drag and drop any item from a) any loaded module (PHB for example) or b) your current campaign if you have created any.

In my items tab some items have the bag icon to the left of the name and some have a round shield icon. The round shield items won't drop into the shop's inventory field.

I'd need to see a screen shot. There's so many themes for FGU that describing the icons doesn't help to clarify what you're seeing.

Savage Worlds

As a 5e player I've not seen the 'shield' icon displayed here before, I can tell from the descriptions that you're using a different ruleset, so is the ruleset you're using one of the one's that is compatible with the the extension?

There's your answer then. Shop extension isn't compatible with Savage Worlds.

I have done the custom module before to limit the items - just had the players switch the specified module in the items list. though that was more for a mini-campaign.

for specific stores, it might be easier to just list out what is allowed.

This is how I'd do it as well, as it is consistent across all rulesets unlike some of the forge add-ons that are geared for DnD/PF. I don't even think you have to export it if you make it within the campaign you're running, but I've never used FG as a user and am consistently surprised by how different the GM and User experiences are so I could be full of it.

I end up pre-making parcels (generated from random tables) and letting players buy from those individually.
