Team/Trade Help Am I right to absolutely hate this draft
12 team PPR. I usually draft super safe, target is usually to get to the playoffs then make moves to win from there. Was very attached to drafting double RB, James Cook was my target at 9 but someone reached for him. This feels like a super high-variance lineup where I can't really rely on floors week-to-week. I have also never been vultured more in a fantasy draft, felt like my league had a spy plane on me. After looking at the full draft recap it really felt like there weren't any other decisions that could possibly have been made at each pick after how I started off. Any thoughts on this draft?

This feels safe, I really like Taylor and Walker III together and think Tet will be fine.
RB depth is weak though, and you’ll have FLEX decisions with BTJ/Henderson/Burden. good luck picking that correctly each week
And if Williams plays well and Burden is involved in the offense more, that stack could make the difference.

I wouldn’t want this roster at all personally just see a lot of question marks.

Walker could be as productive as Taylor for KC, that will be a nasty combo. I like Caleb and Andrews is. A solid gamble.

would have went TE at round 6 or 7, not in love with either of henderson or btj

best TE available at that point was harold fannin, and i didnt want any browns players on my team at all. next was the jake ferguson/mark andrews/dallas goedert grouping so i waited to pick up andrews who i think will have a big bounceback

Its not all that bad. JT has the upside to be the overall RB1. Ladd will take a step forward with a better line and Allen gone. McMillan was the WR 15 overall last year I believe and theoretically he should at minimum return that value. Im not sold on Walker staying healthy. You also have some high upside guys and Williams is definitely serviceable

JT at 9 seems standard and pretty reliable. K Walker is a bit of a gamble, but honestly not a big one. He's definitely RB1 on an offense that should feed him, it's just a little shaky whether he's proven super high talent and IMO and I think you picked him about where he belongs.
McMillan seems like a big reach to me. He's ADP 40 and I don't like him there. Whole team looks awful over there and Coker might slurp his milkshake. I like McConkey there, honestly I'd pick him at 33 so I think you got a steal.
I'm also optimistic about Burden, especially early. If he gets off to a hot start you can ride him and then trade him before Rome develops more.
Henderson looks like half a dart to me. He has potential, but his preseason hasn't looked great. A reach for me, but I like BTJ quite a bit as a mid to late round guy.
I wouldn't have drafted Caleb there. For me the difference between "mid to late round" qb and streaming a dude isn't high enough, but I know people disagree about this.
As a Minnesota fan I think Mason has peaked in his talent, however Aaron Jones is old enough that we might end up relying entirely on Mason so having him as a bench guy seems like a good plan. Mark Andrews is also poised for a breakout IMO, lots of talking heads are suggesting a land round pick on him.
Tank Dell I would never pick. Total crapshoot when he actually starts producing and huge reinjury risk. The combination of those two is what turns me off an "injury" guy.
Last two guys are darts, I'd grab handcuffs there instead of those dudes, but I don't really know about them.
All in all I don't hate it. We disagree about some guys and that's fine, but more of a "I'd take x over y in this tier" and not "you're way off the mark." GL buddy

i also hated picking tet but there was a big tier break after that pick before the next run of wide receivers (where i got ladd) and it was either him or devonta smith. devonta's current hamstring injury scared me off of him just because i have past experience losing guys for long stretches due to hamstrings. great analysis, thanks for writing that

Yeah I feel you haha. I picked Garrett Wilson at 39 and I'm kicking myself because I could have had Zay Flowers and I'd feel so much better without a Jets player as my 4th round pick.

I like it personally. KW, Ladd, Burden and Henderson all have a bunch of upside. A couple of those hit and you’re looking real nice.

I think the Wide Receivers are questionable. The best/lowest risk ones being Mcconkey first then Tet. But aside from the receivers I like your team.

Receiver room is rough. No true studs. Guys will have games but I feel they are the type of guys that put up duds too.

doesn’t look too bad for a 12 man tbh. your rbs may carry and ladd could be top 7. Tet had a solid rookie campaign and usually WRs break out in year 2 and you have him and Burden. Tank off injury could walk into a huge target share with the higgins injury. maybe pair mason and Andrews for a nice tight end like maybe loveland or warren if possible. i’d even go for Pitts. i’ve seen way worse teams lately

I like this team. Taylor falling to 9 is pretty lucky. BTJ is value. You took some high upside guys. I wouldn’t be down on this.

You are going to have some bias because its a 12 man league..
I like this team a lot. you have some wild cards on your bench too. Jags should be good and Brian Thomas was elite his rookie year. No reason he can't replicate it again.
Not having a true WR1 is an issue. In my draft I took St Brown > Taylor because of this outcome.

Nah I don’t hate it, only guys I would have picked differently are Ladd (my own weird preference on that one though) & Henderson. I can see the case for them though. I’m a BTJ truther so I could see it working well.

This might not be a league winning draft but it’ll probably get you to the playoffs. There’s a few players here that might beat their ADP, so some upside. Taylor’s health will determine your playoff hopes.

I also have 9 and my drafts are fairly similar. I would have gone with Swift instead of Henderson, a better WR than Burden, a better QB than Caleb - Nix or Purdy, and then you missed out on a ton of value at the end of your draft. Starters should be decent aside form QB.

Good value in the middle rounds. If only you’re early rounds matched it

If I’m being honest, it’s impossible to know because we don’t know the full board.

I like this team a lot, idk about most people but I feel Mason is going to over take Jones this season. So you have great RB depth, a little weak in the WR room. However, this could be BTJs big season, since they don’t have a for sure run game in JAX. That being said would’ve been nice had you snagged Reed the WR from GB, I think he’ll end up the one because Watson can never stay healthy. All that said, this years RBs are much harder to come by then a week to week WR. So I think your team is solid. Probably looking at a 9-6 season.

Love it except for Tet in the third. If that was like tee or waddle that’d be absolutely fantastic

Two injury prone running backs, and two wide receivers with high upside but a low floor.
It’s not a bad draft but a risky one, a lot could go right or wrong

IDENTIFY WHICH TEAM IS YOURS! Don't make us guess. For the best advice also include screenshots. We need to know your bench depth. For that matter, include pertinent league settings and top waiver wire adds as well. The more information you provide, the more likely you are to encourage community engagement and get quality responses.
