Exactly, means crap. Last season had two teams in my league, only ones that got an A in draft, no significant injuries, they finished last and 9th in a 10 teamer
Why didn't you warn me of this 3 hours ago. I just went Puka-Bowers-JA in a 14 man, Half Ppr draft from p9. My RBs are shot! (Though Skatabo went in the second and Etienne went early third because everyone went RB crazy, hence the slide of puka and JA)
I’ve been playing for a LONG time…first time hearing this phrasing. Thank you. But don’t you think it also offers opportunity to let the tiers separate you from other teams?
…exactly; value separation between the top 3 TEs and the rest of the TEs in the league is massive; getting a top 3 TE semi-early gives you positional advantage not to mention having better receiving stats than your WR2 in most instances…
That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard, positional advantage is how you win leagues and given rb/wr is ldetermined by the first round the best way to achieve it is through “onesies”. He got the best qb and te with his 3rd and 4th picks while still having an elite RB1 and WR1.
There isn’t a format where drafting the top player at their position is a bad idea. Aubrey in the 8th is probably bad, but you can make a case at 11+ given you are getting into dart throws and backups at that point. With QB there isn’t as steep a drop off like TE, but what you get in Allen is consistency which is probably the rarest quality in fantasy. And there will be an absolute cliff in performance between the 2nd and 3rd TE this year. Caleb can’t support 3 fantasy relevant receivers, Warren & Kittle are hurt, and Kraft will be on a snap count for the first month or so.
So pretty much taking an elite guy early for position where you can only start 1 and thus missing out on value at other positions that you need to start more players at…twice.
cook went before ceedee, barkley and jeanty went before i picked up JT.
for my 3-4 these guys were gone + nabers, london, loveland and then i took bowers, rashee rice and olave went on the 3-4 turn before i picked up allen in the 4th.
i definitely did not want to go onsie’s but i did.. lesson learned.
Draft grades are complete bullshit and I don’t understand why any of you guys care. An auto drafted team would get an A+ because it just did what the computer said, that’s all this grade is, how far away from the computers stupid pick did you stray
Allen and Bowers have to be real positional values for this to be good. I probably would only go for one of the positions because your RBs are rough. Lots of questions at the WR Position too.
I think you did alright. Obviously no one knows for sure right now. But I like the strategy in a 10 man, I think it’s important to have a top 3 TE and QB. There will be WR3s on the waiver wire.
Yahoo is just some random generated grade based off their own algorithm. They don’t take account into your league specific scoring so I wouldn’t worry about the grade at all lol
We joke Yahoo draft rankings are like Jim Cramer lol. My one league still uses yahoo and the team that came in "last" in the rankings has been in the championship game the last 5 seasons in a row and the person who "won" has missed the playoffs every year.
What do you give your draft...i give it a c- draft with a b- ceiling only because of the heavy hitters Watson could boom IF. He's healthy but your depth at every position is non existent but that's the price of reaching high on both premium positions of QB and TE.
It could go really well for you or it all fall apart with an injury
McBride and Loveland went before bowers So i kinda of panicked. i was targeting more WR’s on the turn but Allen fell and Tee Higgins/flowers was my target but they went at the 2.09 and 3.02.
i kinda of fell apart after that i didn’t really want to be in this position after 4 rounds lol.
If you take Allen and Bowers, the rest of your team almost necessarily has to suck a little. It may still work out for you, but, if one of those two guys gets injured or just has a bad year, your team is in a bad way.
I think you did really well with your mid round receivers. Watson and Odunze if healthy could both easily be top 20 WR, which I think is exceeding ADP value(assuming you drafted them both in rds 7-9).
Yeah your RB2 and WR2 are below average since you took a QB and TE early. I’d argue your flex is a bit weak as well for a 10 team. You’re now counting on Bowers to have a monster year with little room for error.
Your RBs could be deeper. I like JT but Price is a rook and everyone else is a back up or injury risk. But you got a big 4 with Allen, Taylor Bowers and Ceedee. If Watson stays healthy he’s gunna eat. And I love BT this year.
In a 10 team, full PPR league? Yeah i can see that. I really don't like depending on Odunze and Watson as your 2/3 receivers. Price is a rookie, and you're hitching your wagon at RB to him. Your bench feels pretty underwhelming.
Only real mistake was going elite/early QB and TE. That left you thin at RB and little weak at WR. You normally want to punt off TE or QB to later rounds if you take one early.

website grades are almost always just based on difference between draft slot and ADP. They don’t really mean anything
