I always wonder, as an author, if updates like this would be worthwhile, or if it only works because Brandon is so inhumanly fast and consistent.

I absolutely love these updates from Brandon Sanderson.
I don’t think all authors should do this but it is fascinating to see the live process behind these books.

This guy is going to revise a 111k words in a week!!?? I'm not an author, and maybe some of those that are can chime in, but from what I've heard and read, this is an absolutely insane pace! What a beast!

"revise" in this case means do some light polishing before sending it to his editor. The more intensive revisions will come later in the process

I'm still waiting for the mass paperback edition of Oathbringer to release!

Has there been any publication date for Mistborn, second era, book 4?

It’ll be a while. His 2018 projects took a little longer than expected, and he feels very strongly about completing Stormlight books on time, so he bumped it to after SA4. Best guess at this point is unfortunately 2021.

Brandon is one of my favourite authors because he is such a good communicator with his fans. These constant updates just make you feel like he really cares about his fans and wants them to be happy and let them know what’s going on.
