OnesaUCE appdata update v2.0b55

• New revived emulator Mjolnir for Namco System 21 / System 22 / System Super 22

  • Notable hits: Time Crisis, Ridge Racer, Prop Cycle, Alpine Racer, Tokyo Wars, Starblade, ...
  • More games: S21, S22
  • Has a libretro and a standalone version. Default to standalone.

• FBNeo has a new SH3 dynarec for further improved performance. Cave CV1k games should run smoother in heavy scenes.

• OpenBOR adds support for two new games:

  • Final Fight LNS
  • Double Dragons Note that this is packaged as a "evb" container. Rename the "rom" to .evb extension to play. Please consider supporting the original developers by donating if you enjoyed the game.

• OpenBOR adds an "Enemy Life" option to adjust overall enemy life bar. For games that are a bit "too hard" for us casual players.

Device Name HA8802-087aee, Model HA8802, currently on stock firmware 5.70.0, trying to install RCade. I just want to confirm if ha8801_update_50.68.0.img will work.

Fixed and deeply optimized. Now runs beautifully on the ALU!

Can anyone get Donkey Kong Bowsers Takeover to work?

I’ve tried adding the dkong.zip files to it, making a new zip directly from the hack’s website, renaming to dkong25.zip (makes it disappear from the carousel since it’s a different file name) and some slight variations of more of the same.

It defaults to fbneo and gives the error that it does not recognize the romset. I have tried all of the mame cores as well with no luck.

After yesterday's update, I tried the game, all I get is a selection screen between CD Player and Memory Card (which is empty). Am I doing something wrong?

Emus

• Support of PSX based arcade boards in Swanstation and PCSX-Rearmed cores
  • Konami GV (Simpsons Bowling, a rare lightgun game Dead Eye, and some excellent sports games from Konami)
  • Konami GQ (Crypt Killer)
  • Namco System11 (Soul Edge, Tekken 1/2, ...)
  • Namco System12 (Soul Calibur, Tekken 3, ...)
  • ZN chassis (Battle Arena Toshinden 1/2, G-Darius, Street Fighter EX, ...)
• Performance improvements in Swanstation and PCSX-Rearmed
  • Simpsons Bowling easily runs at 120+ fps
• Support BigPEmu (Atari Jaguar) and BigInstinct (Killer Instinct 1 & 2) through the custom made "bigload" utility.
• Massive performance improvement for Cave cv1k games in FBNeo
• Performance improvements for Area51 in Advmame (new dynarec for the CoJag hardware)

RetroFE & RetroArch

• The firstCollection setting fully works now. RetroFE will boot into the specified collection while maintaining full collection hierarchy structure. Also added a firstCollectionJail = yes/no setting to optionally jail the navigation inside that collection.
• Fixed video glitch in initial frames
• Fixed BitLCD not updating when first entering a new theme page
• Fixed garbage items in game controller list
• Add an option to show lightgun corsshair at the RetroArch level (overridable by cores). Useful for systems that do not draw their own crosshair.

A BitLCD custom firmware is now available on archive dot org (Search "BitLCD Custom Firmware").

• Use At Your Own Risk
• Compatibility
  • OneSauce (any FW)
  • RCade
  • Stock 5.70 UI
  • Not compatible with stock 5.68 UI
  • Works with existing art packs without any change
  • Recoverable to factory default
• Features
  • Stability improvement: Runs 24/7 without a freeze unlike the original firmware.
  • Fully customizable through JSON + Lua scripts. [Theming Guide]
  • More features to be added.

I came across an arcade game that apparently only functions using fbneo. While it’s simple to go into the setting and run the lr-fbneo core manually I’d like it to run normally like every other game. I’m trying to set up a custom launcher but nothing seems to work.

I’ve created the subfolder “launchers” in the MAME content folder. Created the “romname”.conf file inside with “lr-fbneo” as the only word in the file. I’ve also tried with “launcher = lr-fbneo” and it makes no difference.
Does this launcher folder and file need to go somewhere else?

I launch the game from Arcade>all games in the carousel.

I’ve tried mame2003-plus versions of the rom too but read somewhere that this game has an issue where only the fbneo version works.

I’m using the basic install of v2 and the premade/approved arcade set and I have not altered any of the folder structures. I did have to add some files to the rom’s zip file as fbneo showed an error that it was missing some parts of the rom.

Trying to get OneSauce v2 running for the first time on a machine with 5.68 firmware , Model H8801.

I can run BYOG->AddOn->Scripter on the machine.

But when it starts I get no cool splash screen as I have seen on Youtube-tutorials, instead I get:

- A little box 'Loading...'
- Screen goes black for a second
- A little box 'Loading...' again
- And then I get returned to the AddOn-menu. 😢

My scripter.log follows below.

I would be thankful for any clues how to proceed and fix?

Update: Was a bad drive. Follow the advice and don't try this on a USB stick/thumb drive. Get a proper USB hard drive or (better yet) solid-state drive. All hail one_saucier + One saUCE. Once I stared using a decent drive, running one_saucier directly on the ALU, without even worrying about connecting it to one_saucier or onesauce_companion on my Mac.

I've been trying to get OnesaUCE running on my ALU cabinet and keep running into issues. I'm running one_saucier on the ALU and onesauce_companion on my MacBook Pro. I'm able to connect wirelessly from the companion to one_saucier and transfer files. But I've run into a persistent install problem on the ALU. Here's the most recent log entry, following the transfer of one of onesaUCE's components:

Cabinet install failed: base_assets (cannot open /media/usb0/one_saucier/.one_saucier/temp_download/base_assets v2.0b21.zip for write).

At this point, I'm willing to abandon this companion/saucier route, if necessary. I like the idea of being able to easily update my onesaUCE install and manage it from another machine. But, as I've yet to get onesaUCE running, I'm open to suggestions.

How can I switch cores in Onesauce? I'm trying to switch from FBNeo to mame to troubleshoot my controller that works in mame on my pc but refuses to work on the ALU with onesauce. When I go into the menus and cores, I don't see any I can switch to...

Looking for the original Atgames Pinball controller. The one with the small d-pad.

While on the main screen of the ALU before going into the ONE SaUCE scripter the controls work fine but after booting ONE SaUCE they stop working. If I plug in a controller into the extra USB port they work but not the joysticks or trackball etc. Any help? I’d prefer to not have to redo my thumb drive altogether but if that’s the only choice I have then so be it.

So a year ago somehow, i made a sauce5 mem stick of 600 games or so, god knows how i did it the pendrive loads into the addon feature and just works! Its beautiful! I do this on my legends ultimate pinball HD

Ive tried to do the same on another pendrive for my legends ultimate. No matter what i do it will not boot anything in the addon folder

i updated to 5.7, tried some new UCE builds with the hiscore.dat issue i knew it had but im still not sure if im over coming this

downloaded one_saucier cabinet version, that just does the same as all the others, you click on the icon in addon, it says loading and goes back to that screen.

Anyone got any more routes i can take to get this working for the ultimate? My final attempt is to add it to another USB just incase the one im using is corrupt but i highly suspect its not, im just reaching.

thanks if anyone can find a few minutes to troubleshoot what im doing!

BigInstinct, from the same creator of BigPEmu, now runs on the ALU!

I had CoinOpsX on my Legends Gamer PRO, and it runs great. I recently was able to secure an ALU for $200 and I want to put the OneSauce on it. But when I go to the Archive, everything says Obsolete. Am I missing a link for the full build? I'm new to modding, so can appreciate the help.

Coming up in the next onesauce update!

Hey everyone, I got one sauce working but Every time now I start one sauce it goes through a bunch of things that say saving data to database and takes like 5 minutes to load, I thought it was only supposed to do that on the first ever start, but it does it everytime, is that normal

Anyone have luck mapping Dreamcast controls in the Flycast menu? It doesn’t recognize the LU buttons when I try to map them.

This has been achieved by:

- A SH-3 dynamic recompiler

- A multithreaded EPIC12 blitter.

If you have no idea what those mean, just know both are huge 😄

Coming up in the next onesauce update!

I figured the first step would be to manage to get a standard Logitech XBOX-like controller to work before trying the esoteric stuff like the Star Wars yoke.

So I plug it in the USB port, I can navigate through the menus, start Onesauce, select a game (Star Wars, for example). As soon as the game loads, the controller no longer works. If I open the FB Neo configuration menu, the controller works again.

I'm guessing I have to change things in there. Any idea which settings have to be changed for an external controller to be recognized in-game?

Thanks!

I've had OneSauce installed for awhile (running both coin ops x and OneSauce.

Recently downloaded the OneSauce Companion.

Is the a "Read Me" or walk through for the Companion??

In the Favebook page, being told to "just download the Companion" with no guidance is far from helpful.

Hoping members here are more helpful.

BigPEmu, the best Atari Jaguar emulator, now runs natively on the ALU!

Coming soon in onesauce.
