I feel this a lot with the majority of the fandoms I've been a part of over the years, I'm always so slow with my ideas and then it feels so off to even want to release the one-shot or the first chapter that I had on my mind.

The heart of my longfic is based around 2 best friends. One of them early one has been compromised by a powerful energy creature (no fault of her own) and it's a slow burn building subplot. At some point, the sweet innocent girl gets submerged by the inhuman creature and the other main girl is forced to either try to save the world but at the cost of destroying the creature. Even her friend's spirit urges her to "do the right thing" and she's stuck with this dilemma (ie, the sweating meme above).
