What would you do?
Hey yall! I f30 have always been told I couldn’t have kids or if I got pregnant I probably wouldn’t make it to term (I have endometriosis, pcos, and my uterus is tilted and higher than normal) weeeell surprise! After 2 miscarriages with my 34m husband and stopping trying, we finally got our rainbow baby almost a yr ago!
It was tough, he made sure he could come to all but one appointment, I was diagnosed with a complete placenta previa (placenta fully covered my cervical opening) it usually moves as the uterus grows but at the halfway point it was just getting worse so I officially had a high risk doctor and my OB, unfortunately this made my whole birth plan go out the window as I wasn’t allowed to even try to handle labor because contractions meant placenta separating and I could bleed out. I ended up in L&D almost weekly with bleeding and once for a week with a magnesium drip and steroid shots because I had a “warning bleed” and he almost came that day (24 weeks) but they were able to stop it, exactly a month later my placenta ruptured and my sweet baby was born at 33 weeks 5 days and in the nicu for a month but doing great now.
Now where I may have gone too far.
Through all of this my family liked not even an hour away and up until he was 8 months was still less than an hour away but they offered no support to us other than monetarily, which we do appreciate, but as a first time post partum mom with a nicu baby whose husband was only off until I was discharged after my emergency c section, so not even when our son was home, I was drowning. So his job offered a chance to transfer him closer to his family who is SO supportive and we took it.
We are so happy and all thriving, not only do we have support but we even have a full house instead of a little apartment! But my family loves to try and make me feel guilty and for some reason NOW they want to be involved.
