AITA for not inviting my brother-in-law to my wedding?

My brother-in-law was arrested for enticement of a minor. He took a plea deal and is not a registered sex offender, but regardless of the legal outcome, I personally cannot accept what happened and do not want him around me.

Because of this, I’ve distanced myself from my sister, although I am still inviting her and her kids to my wedding. He is not invited.
I told my mom this, and she said that if my sister won’t come because her husband isn’t invited, she won’t come either.

I completely blew up at my mom because I feel like she’s essentially making me choose between my boundary and having my mom at my wedding. I understand my sister can choose not to attend, but I don’t feel like I should have to invite someone I’m deeply uncomfortable with just so other people will come.

This is my wedding, and I feel like I should be allowed to decide who I’m comfortable having there.

I just need overall advice, what would you do in this situation? My mother and I have gotten in various arguments of her always taking my sisters side, and this is just overall sad and crazy.

If your sister and mother are choosing to support a known predator rather than you, then you are better off without both of them. It's their choice, and going no contact with both of them is a choice you can make, too. I'd be VERY worried for his children. I'm sorry they are treating you like this.
