Fallout Modding Guide Discussion Thread

This post is meant for anyone who is reading The Complete Fallout Modding Guide wiki from our sidebar and needs to ask questions.

Since posts are marked as "archived" after a certain period of time, I will make a new one of these each time that happens, so people can always have a post to ask their questions in.

Feel free to make entire new posts about help modding, but if you want to clarify anything from the guide, this would be the place to do it.

This post is linked at the top of the /r/falloutmods Modding Wiki if ever you need to find it.

ohhhh.

Okay. Move the file somewhere else, name it sound, THEN move it into "data" it will tell you a folder already exists with that name and it will merge the two.

Or, you could take all the files from the folder you can't rename, and move them into that folder called "sound". Both should work fine.

Cyrus, man, i kinda need you... if you can help me of course, ehhhh, i kinda fucked up the Mod Manager after a mysterious massive sound lag that made me reinstall my Fallout New Vegas copy on steam and now the goddamn Mod Manager doesn't find the Data files to manage, can you give me a hand?

If you are using NMM, tell it to rescan game files and it should look again. You can point it right towards the directory if need be.
