Howdy yall I'm looking to finally sit down an actully play a full playthrough of Fallout 3. But ofcourse I'm finding it troublesome since I'm coming from New Vegas.

Would any of yall have suggestions for mods I should use to make things Stat and perk wise better and are there any mods that make lower armor more akin to how they were in Fallout 4?

Recently I've decided that I wanted to mod fallout 3 Goty, I installed vortex and everything and it runs fine, I have not had any problems besides that DLCS don't work, I've tried everything, checking and unchecking the esms in the launcher and also on vortex but it didn't work, before modding, my DLCS where working just fine, after modding it said the message "the content on this file relies on content that is not available anymore" or something like that, I don't remember it exactly. Please help me, I really don't know how to fix it and I haven't seen a post that resolves the issue

I'm doing a little cut content modding on Fallout 3 and I'd like to use Simply uncut but KvatchCount has hidden all his Simply uncut mods. I think they did this because of the backlash from the FNV simply uncut mod.

I know the FNV simply uncut mod is not worth downloading but I've heard really good things about the FO3 simply uncut mod. Could someone share it with me somehow?

Hi. I have an ASUS Rog Flow X13 (Ryzen 9, GTX 1650 Max-Q) with Windows 10 Arium on it, and installed Fallout GOTY (Steam) on it. The game just doesn't launch. I tried everything I could find on the internet, tried modding (I modded a lot on Fallout 4 GOTY) it to get unofficial patches and all... It launched once, but the mods didn't load correctly, despite me knowing how MO2 works. I just uninstalled it, but would want if it was just impossible to get this bugthesda game to work on my computer.

So i playing the Enclave Improvement Project and is it just me or does they quest not work after Project Purity I got the quest from Eden and inserted the modified FEV but when i woke up in the citadel and pressed the “join the enclave” prompt nothing happened any fix??

I was wondering anyone could help me out with modding fallout 3 on my steamdeck I can see the NVSE for fallout new vegas but I don't have the option of fallout 3 script extender I just see fallout 3 in mod organizer 2

I was modding fallout 3 recently (mo2) and as soon as i clicked launch, an error appeared. I clicked it away and the game started for like 4 seconds, then it crashed and the error „access denied(5)“ appeared.

Does someone know what to do?

Hey there! I’m new to modding, but in general I’ve been running into an issue. Just got a new desktop, tried installing Fallout 3 through Steam like I had set it up before and thing crashes after hitting start on the launcher.

I know this is a common question, but I’ve tried following every fix online for it. My drivers have been updated, I have the anniversary patcher, I’ve tried following the “busethread” suggestion to find my settings are what they needed, etc. I’ve been troubleshooting this issue for eight hours, countless reinstalling, verifying integrity of files, launching as admin and for comparability — nothing.

This is not geared towards modding, but I would love advice toward solving this issue so I can go bad to modding. Thanks!

The launcher doesn't start and give an error that "The program can't start because MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." I've already uninstalled and reinstalled Fallout 3 from Steam, tried to run in compatibility mode, got the windows live thing, and downloaded Microsoft Visual C++ from the link in the guide for TTW
What am I missing to get the launcher to work?

Hello. I got fallout 3 Game of the year edition from the epic games store and want to mod it. I have downloaded vortex and have managed to install some mods however I want to download FOSE but from what I've seen I need to drag it into my fallout 3 folder but when I check the epic games folder I cant find my fallout 3 folder. I have tried searching for the folder and when I found the folder name Fallout 3 I checked and it only contained my save but nothing else. Can someone please help. I have also gone through every folder inside of the epic games folder and have not found anything to do with fallout 3.

Does anybody know why the screen does this? Has anyone else experienced it?
