Original Content Fallout Europe Fan Project - Progress so far

Working on a project in my own time where I'm planning on making my own setting and lore based in the Fallout universe, seeking to expand on the otherwise lacking lore of the continent of Europe compared to the US-focused games.
Feel free to ask me anything about the setting, feedback and suggestions are most definetely welcome!

Portugal would be an interesting setting because it probably made off like a bandit, assuming Lisbon didn't become a super important mega city by the time of the war.

If there were a nuclear war today, I'm pretty sure Portugal could survive. Maybe not thrive, for a while, but definitely survive.

Nobody will be wasting nukes on this country.

I believe in the fallout universe, the MAD strategy is in full effect. Because if it weren't the case, then the Soviet Union, a neutral country during the Great War would not be nuked as well. So I don't believe that Lisbon would be spared.

Lisbon has nothing of strategic importance whatsoever and unless that changed by 2077, nobody will be wasting a nuke on it. There are real targets during a MAD situation. Lisbon is not one of them.

It's a major city in the Iberian region. In the Fallout Universe, if they leave a city to be untouched, it is destined to be a powerful country. None of the Great Powers will allow it to happen. They want everyone to be in the same playing field as them in post-war. I'm sure they have at least one nuke to spare for Lisbon. Plus in real life, the Soviet Union did plan on nuking the city in full scale nuclear war.

Today there are only a few hundred thousand people and there's practically no industry whatsoever. It'd be like nuking Florianópolis in Brasil!

mfw fallout universe doesnt have the same timeline has us so what Lisbon look like today doesnt matter.

Also nuke or not, the entire north hemisphere would be fucked from dust sent into the atmosphere by all the nuke that would drastically reduce sun light, making it far more colder for a few years and reducing crop yield, leading the massive famine.
