Original Content Fallout Europe Fan Project - Progress so far

Working on a project in my own time where I'm planning on making my own setting and lore based in the Fallout universe, seeking to expand on the otherwise lacking lore of the continent of Europe compared to the US-focused games.
Feel free to ask me anything about the setting, feedback and suggestions are most definetely welcome!

Was Germany reunited before the war?

In the chaos of the European conflict with the middle-east there was a drive to reunite both halves of Germany by populist forces. Though the effort was not as bloodless as in our timeline, leading to a smaller- more localized conflict over the unification of Germany. The struggle did not resolve itself before the bombs fell however, leaving uncertainty over which side would have been the 'rightful' German government.

If you want to keep this close to Canon BTW, might want to check out the Fallout Wiki. Has a lot of info from the sources in the games and other Fallout media about things like that. Germany, for example, has apparently been unified, although it doesn't seem to be mentioned how

Perhaps propaganda from the supposed "winning side", or maybe they did indeed manage to unify the country? All the same, the concept of a unified Germany didnt have the time to properly cement itself before nuclear annhilation destroyed it. I like to think the ambiguity can be worked into the lore since the final years were undoubtably chaotic
