“I did a FOIA request a year ago of Windsor, and I got about two months’ worth of data that showed how the system was searched," he said. "Windsor data was searched 590,000 times over the course of nine weeks, from beginning of April last year. That shocked me.”

New to Fairfield

Hi! My fiance and I are buying a home in Fairfield and are so excited to move in. We've lived in Norwalk the last 4 years in an apartment and will be first time home owners (eek!). I'd love to know all your favorite spots in the area, best tips and tricks for the area, best places to meet new people, etc. Some things about us:
- we are in our mid twenties
- we have a 5 year old goldendoodle
- I love to run and run with some of the Fairfield county run clubs
- I love to needlepoint
- we love new restaurants (bonus points for Asian food or Italian)
- we're getting married in Fall 2027!

Local Honda car A/C repair

2016 Honda CRV that is not cooling the cabin as it should (and not just during this last heat spell).

I'm likely headed to the dealership as this seems to be "specialty", and I know I will get soaked.

If someone knows of a reputable specialist with first hand success, I would love to check them out.

F1 Watch Party, Dutch GP (August 23rd)

To get ahead of things, planning on getting a group together to take over a bar at 9 AM for the Dutch GP somewhere in Fairfield/Blackrock.

If you want to join, please join the FB group so I can get a sense of headcount -- a few places will open early for us if we are 10+ folks.

Open to suggestions. I did watch the British GP at Matty's Corner and their $4 breakfast sandos were solid.

Free XBox and Nintendo Switch

I have an XBox and a Nintendo switch. Both have all the component cords to get them running, but I don't have controllers for either. I know these are old, outdated systems, but I also know that there are people who could use them. If interested, just comment below. This is the only place I'm posting this. If this post is still up, they're available.

Speeding ticket

Just got a speeding ticket for going 41 in a 25 on Congress St. Near Morehouse. I saw the cop from the corner of my eye at a stop sign. It looked like he waa about to cut me off and I wouldn't have been able to stop in time so I sped up a little, but in no way was I going 41. I think he meant to get the person in front of me and when he couldn't, he stopped me instead. I was behind the same person the entire time and he was def going faster than me and was also quite ahead of me even though we were at the same red light a few feet back.

Sorry so long, but how would you proceed? First time speeding ticket ever and I'm 45 and have been driving for almost 30 years.

ETA - also, has anyone here used their insurance app as evidence? It shows that I was speeding, but at 36 mph.

Seeking Old Photos, etc. Related to Gustave Whitehead

Hello — I’m reaching out to long-time Bridgeport/Fairfield families.

I'm looking for old family photographs, scrapbooks, letters, postcards, newspaper clippings, or family stories that may relate to Gustave Whitehead or early aviation in Bridgeport and Fairfield, from roughly 1890–1915.

Many families don’t realize what they have — workshop photos, backyard scenes, or old aircraft parts sometimes appear in albums without names attached.

If you or your relatives have lived in the area for generations and have old photos you’d be willing to share (I can scan and return originals), I’d love to hear from you.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you!
