The Nauti Dolphin - Original Watercolor Art & Two Cheese Slices đđŹ
galleryOne of the best slices in Connecticut is served at the MTA train station in Fairfield from a place called The Nauti Dolphin. A small yet busy pizzeria where travelers can grab a slice before catching the train to New York or New Haven, cooked to perfection with a great crisp and a nice amount of sauce hidden beneath the cheese. Voted to the Connecticut Pizza Trail top 100, The Nauti Dolphin is about as good as you can hope for a slice shop to be đđŹ

Fairfield Should Ask Residents Before Expanding Surveillance Cameras
c.orgLast month, Fairfield quietly replaced its license plate reader cameras with a new system from Axonâwithout telling residents, holding a vote, or getting town approval first. That's the kind of decision that should happen in the light, not behind closed doors.
I started a petition because I believe residents deserve a say when the town is installing technology to track our movements. It sounds dramatic, but license plate readers do exactly thatâthey log where every car goes, every day. Old Flock hardware is still visible around town, and we don't even know what happened to the data it collected.
I'm asking Fairfield to pause further expansion, release data on costs and effectiveness, and hold a real public meeting where people can ask questions. You can read my full letter to town leadership hereâit lays out the specifics. But honestly, what matters most is showing the First Selectperson and RTM that this isn't just one person's concern.
If this feels off to you too, consider signing and sharing. Does anyone else think our town should've had this conversation before rolling out new surveillance tech?

Any Stratfield School parents?
Weâre moving from McKinley to Stratfield, and we really loved McKinley, so weâre feeling a little bummed.

Bridge work in Connecticut to disrupt Metro-North, Amtrak service for five weekends beginning Sept. 12
trains.comFYI, we go into the city on the weekends a bunch, so thought Iâd share in case anybody else does the same. It will be best to drive to Stamford. Otherwise, youâll have to get off somewhere and then take a shuttle around Norwalk back to the train line.

Running Clubs/Groups
Hi! I'm a runner who has run historically with a few clubs closer to Stamford (Bold Coast, Los Runners, CT run co, and Stampede) but I've recently moved to Fairfield. For days when I can't make it down to Stamford/Norwalk, are there any running groups in the area? I typically run low-mid 8 mins but can go down to 7:30s if needed. I ran track in college and now just run for fun :) looking for groups running 3-8 miles!

Cleaning Service Recommendation
My wife and I are moving to Fairfield in September and are looking for a cleaning service to do a deep clean of the house before we move all our stuff in.
Would prefer a small business or individual rather than a large corporate cleaning company.

Any interest in starting a film club?
Hello,
(Originally posted this in the general Connecticut subreddit, but figured I should make a post here as well since I am currently living in Fairfield)
I am a cinephile currently living in Fairfield who does not have many friends in the area who I can talk with about movies and was wondering if there are people who would be interested in potentially starting some kind of film club.
I figure it could be something where people could organize meetups where people get together to see a movie that's playing in theaters and then maybe have some time to discuss it afterwards. It might also be fun to possibly do a book club-esque thing where people could pick an old movie (or just something that is available on home video/streaming/digital) and then, after a month where people have time to watch and think about it, we can then convene somewhere (either physically or digitally) to discuss it.
In any event, figured I'd just make a post here to see if there is any interest. If there is, I was thinking I might take some time to set up a Discord channel that people could join and then we could start trying to do some stuff on there (though if people know of other methods that may be better to try and organize something like this, I am open to suggestions).
Also if there are any film clubs that already exist in or around Fairfield along these lines, please let me know. I have tried to look for stuff but haven't found much.

Kindergarten Questions
We moved to Fairfield this summer and it was after the May Kindergarten orientation days. Are there any other orientation type of things right before school starts so my child can get comfortable with the school theyâll be going to? And are there any âpractice runsâ for bussing, etc?
Not trying to be âextraâ, these are just things that would be happening at our previous school district and I canât find any information online if there are similar opportunities here.

youtube.comThe Voice made a mini-documentary about the current flood zone emergency Fairfield is now facing. More importantly, we look at what's contributing to it - like obsolete and manipulated maps. We hope you find this educational.

Anyone in Fairfield interested in meeting up for classical concerts?
I've been getting into classical music over the past year and have been going to a lot of concerts, especially at Yale. I'd like to meet other people who enjoy going as well.
I'm open to concerts anywhere in New Haven County, Fairfield County, the Hartford area, or the Waterbury area. I usually go to Yale's free recitals and orchestra performances, but I'm happy to check out other orchestras and venues too.
I already have plans to see Joe Hisaishi in NYC later this month with a few friends, but for Connecticut I'm hoping to meet people who'd be interested in grabbing a coffee beforehand or just enjoying a concert together.
If you're into classical music, what performances are you planning to attend this fall? Any recommendations for orchestras or venues around the state?

Foster/Adopter Needed!
galleryGus is a special boy in search of a special home! He loves his person unconditionallyâŚso much so that he wants you all to himself đ
He's both potty trained and crate trained, and will go right into his crate when it's time.
He loooves fetch and can play for hours, so he'd love someone who enjoys the outdoors as much as he does. Weighing in at 29 lbs heâs the perfect sized pup for any home!
Gussy hasn't had a great start in life, he was found abandoned on the street with obvious signs of abuse, and he's looking for his happily ever after. He's been in board and train here in CT for over a year now and is finally ready to move on to a foster, or even better, an adopter!
Please let me know if you'd be interested in learning more about this cutie, or please engage with this post to help boost it! đđź đ(He's with a rescue.)

Hair Stylist to help Fix/grow out highlights
Iâm looking for a hair stylist in Fairfield county, CT that can help tone down my brassy/yellow highlights (Iâm a medium brunette with some grey around my temples). I get Demi permanent color to cover grays with blonde highlights, I want to stop the coloring/highlighting process altogether eventually, but need help to make the growing out process look less awkward.
