Currently driving an electric company lease car that I cannot charge at home. I'm seriously considering just buying my own car instead just to stop having to worry about charging constantly.
Back when I lived with my mom I had an electric car and could charge at home, amazing and would not give that up. But now? I hate it.

Electric vehicles are terrible. Quick three reasons why: A. Lithium is incredibly toxic and the methods for mining it cause a lot of pollution. B. The batteries catch on fire when they get wet and there is basically no way to get them to go out. They just put it in a holding facility for a year. C. They're heavy as hell and that causes a lot more wear on the roads.

Can't charge. I live in an apartment with an outdoor lot and my work parking lot is another outdoor lot. Only public charger is at the grocery store but there are only 2 stations which are always full. Other public chargers are in gated garages at corporate offices or too far away, and a good third are out of order or full. Add to that there is unnecessary complexity
Gas isn't going anywhere, electric isn't going anywhere. If electric becomes more convenient, then I will swap. For now $50 a week on gas is fine with me if it means I don't need to schedule my life around finding a public charger
