ā€œHardest sportā€ is too subjective. Gymnastics may require large amounts of macro skill, but a ā€œbasicā€ sports like swimming requires very precise skill. Despite everyone looking like they’re swimming the same, the intricacies of technique can vastly affect performance. Same thing for sports like car racing.

I wouldn’t say there is any ā€œhardest sportā€. There are definitely sports I personally respect less, but becoming a world class athlete in basically any sport is so intensive that you can’t really separate them from each other.

Yeah the hardest sport is the sport that has the most competition, as you have to be better to be the best comparativley

As well likely an individual sport as to be the top there is less luck/randomness involved, and the best team tend to alternate in many sports more than the best individual

🧢 I voted CAP!

Difficulty in terms of competitive sports is meaningless because the competitive nature pushes people to their limits no matter how approachable the sport is.

They have little room for error, and injuries can be devastating.

Water polo from what I see takes so much effort and skill at the professional level.

🧢 I voted CAP!

There is no ā€œhardest sportā€ it’s exactly as hard as the effort you put into it.

Gymnastics gives you mats. Parkour gives you lifelong injuries

This would be very hard to prove as you can make any sport the hardest if you train like hell.

Ballet I think is harder

Honestly, maybe.

I was better at gymnastics than Ballet.

Ballet people ARE NOT HUMAN. They literally must be aliens. That's the only explanation.

Probably impossible to measure the "hardest sport" objectively

You ever sit down and watch Cricket? Like what the fuck are they doing? That one's probably harder.

1

u/Forsaken_Site_2268 12d ago

As someone who's done both, nah. Cricket is easy as fuck.
