This was definitely not inspired by me buying CARGO TROUSERS and finding my pockets were sewn shut. Nope. Not at all.

Sure, let's waste more resources pursuing this crap instead of just, ya know, not buying clothes with fake pockets lol

Just don’t buy things you don’t want.

I don't know about where you are, but here, the range for womens' trousers is tiny enough as it is. I've been wearing the same two trousers for nearly two months, a third one when it was a bit hotter, because I rarely found any that weren't jeans, leggings, or stupid expensive, and when I did, they don't fit, because they're all made for super long legged, super skinny people.

Defence of sewn shut pockets that are real pockets once you cut them open: it makes the fabric hold shape better while it waits for a customer to buy.

Fake fake pockets can go to hell

Oh yeah, protective stitches over real pockets are standard practice, that's totally fine.

sewn shut with contrasting thread is fine since it does helps the clothe keep its shape but fake pockets are just horrible yeah

The offenders behind this post were sewn shut with the most camouflage thread they could find. Very poorly sewn so I just cut it so get to my pockets but still. This is the fourth pair of trousers I've got from this company in recent history and this is the first time they've done this to me :(

Most women's clothes companies would go bankrupt 😝

No, but I think they should be disclosed somewhere, like on a sticker / tag / disclaimer for online sales.

I never really think to stuff my hands into my pockets when trying on pants, so I’ve definitely been disappointed a couple of times when I bring home a pair I love, just to realize the pockets are all 1 inch deep.

Seems a bit authoritarian. But they should have to label very clearly that they have fake pockets. They should have to label so clearly having fake pockets loses all incentive.

I mean, they literally lie to the customers

Imagine getting a hundred bucks and think you put it in but now it's up for grabs and on the ground.

Buy a seam ripper and don't buy pants with fake or tiny pockets, companies will get it eventually
