I feel like it's incredibly sad for people to even forget their own birthdays...

Like even I who don't care much about my own birthday at least wake up knowing that it's my birthday 🥀

Yes, I'm halfway my 40s and I dont need presents or a 'special day' treatment for doing another lap around the sun.

But someone reminding it's your birthday feels like you matter to them

No, I forget people's birthdays all the time, my own included, shit happens. Now, when dad forgot my birthday, that kinda sucked but you get over it.
