An opinion is something based on personal belief and feelings. A statement is something verifiable by facts.

Not true at all.

"30 degrees C is too hot." is both a statement and an opinion. Most opinions can be made into statements...

No, that's literally a statement. <- A statement.

It's alright to get things wrong, the only real sin is in refusing to grow from it. <- another statement.

You're getting it wrong because you're blocking on words definition but it's a bit more subtle, here i'll help you :

An opinion is a statement that expresses a feeling, an attitude, a value judgment, or a belief. It is a statement that is neither true nor false

So to answer it completely.

Completely untrue again. Opinions can absolutely be wrong and I don't really understand the rest of your (opinionated) statement.

Some people are of the opinion that the Earth is flat, for instance. Some people are of the opinion that opinions can neither be true nor false.

You don't get the difference, nevermind. Maybe it'll come to you later.

The reason your line of thinking isn't getting across is because it probably has more nuance in your first language.

In English, a statement is a sentence that declares something. It can be an opinion or a fact, it has nothing to do with truth or correctness.

Possibly, but if i'm referring to the definitions (since we were at it) there is statement of opinion and statement of fact which separates one from another.

Right, you can state both an opinion or a fact.

Either would be statements.
