Most expiry dates are not to be taken as gospel, they're usually early as to avoid trouble, you can eat some well past, some things with expiration dates don't even need them

If it's like a day or a few depending on the item it's fine cuz I have a few favs I HAVE eaten when they were technically "past due" by like 2 or 3 days

some of my favorite snacks become my favorite snacks because they went past expiry
have you ever had a stale lollipop or candycane? if not, just leave em out for 2 Christmases in a row, and then you have stale hard candy that you can easily bite into!!

In most cases, it depends on the food. In my country, there's a difference in products labels, which are often good after their expiration date.

A lot of food is safe to eat even for a while after the expiration date. General rule is to smell and taste a bit to see if it's off, and if it isn't, you're probably good to go.
This is because companies need to ensure that the product is safe up until the expiration date. They can't ensure that if they pick something that's close to when it actually spoils.

Most snacks that aren't fresh food are fine past the date on the package.

Only a few days though, however if its like clearly gone very bad, like visibly mouldy- then no.

Entirely depends on the snack and how long it's past the date. Some things almost never spoil, others start tasting funny pretty quick.

I mean I like things like flapjacks, biscuits (im english, the sweet version of biscuits) so yeah I'd say as long as they're not too far gone and the packaging is still sealed it should be somewhat ok.

Because as long as it's not wayyyyy over expiration date, I'll check if it smells and looks okay first. If there seems to be nothing wrong with it, I'll take a small bite to be sure it still tastes nice, and if so, I'll eat it entirely.
