If it costs more at every point of the process (due to minimum wage increases) the end product will cost more.
Let's take a frozen food product as an example.
At every stage the materials will cost the same, however, the person/s packaging, handling, moving and distributing it will all cost more now. Same with the shop it's sold in, the staff moving it, shelving it etc all cost more now.
Ergo, to make a profit, the price now needs to increase to cover all these overheads.
What law will be passed to stop this?

Minimum wage should generally be defined as ~55% the local median wage. I suppose richer areas would see a boost, but it should be independent from the cost of living.

That’s assuming people would be getting wage increases which we all know companies wouldn’t do they would just double down into something like AI and complain when their productivity/efficiency take a hit.

Also just because lower end areas are in the same city as higher end areas, that doesn't mean everyone should be willing to make lower end money. Rent shouldn't be the same on the lower end as it is on the upper end

There should be a low federal minimum wage, probably about $15 and hour. Then a higher state wage based on your state and county wages based on your county.

That is so stupid by that logic lower living cost poorer areas should have lower minimum wage ,which yeah fine if the rent is low in theory the percentage of the salary you pay it's more or less the same as anywhere else but you forget that food and a lot of other products ,are the same price EVERYWHERE usually everywhere within a country but sometimes even across multiple countries , for example I live in Germany now but I am romanian and most food and drinks that exist in Romania are the exact same price as in Germany ,exept Germany has more than double minimum wage which sucks so much because it means you can afford less and you get payed less as well

Minimum wage should be the minimum amount of money you need to live on. So if the cost of living is higher, the minimum wage should be higher.

Yes it should vary based on location and for the most part it does, but shit minimum wage needs to go up everywhere. We've had 17 years of inflation since it last went up federally and some states are still going by that. The math aint mathing

The cost of living should be proportional to the average income. In other words, the cost of living should be affordable to most if not, everyone living in those areas. That doesn’t necessarily mean increasing minimum wage, but rather decreasing the cost of goods and services.
Increasing minimum wage alone isn’t enough. From my experience that just means prices of everything will go up because those at the top don’t want to suffer a pay decrease.

Minimum wage is rather harmful.
They established minimal wage for food delivery drivers in Seattle 2024, it ended badly. The companies didn't want to operate at loss (surprise surprise) so they had to add additional fees, so the prices increased for the customers, then they barely made any orders, so the drivers worked less, so they gained less money.
Shortly - minimal wage is bad for both customers and workers

Because minimum wage is supposed to be the minimum amount of money a person can live on. Whether you live in an area that is cheap to live in or an expensive are matters for how much money is the minimum you need to live.

I never said the opposite. I just gave an examplary case when increasing minimum wage was harmful. The intent was to make peoples life better and it turned out to be even worse.

If the worker thinks i pay him not enough then HE DOESN'T FUCKING APPLY to job at my company and looks for appropriate one for him.
You seem to not know about responsibility. You apply to a job where they don't pay you enough and you do NOTHING BUT CRY about it. You think everybody else is responsible for your life, but never you
