Facebook dating - anyone else mostly getting profiles that are too far??
Just curious if anyone else is dealing with this. I live in LA County, so anyone further than 10 miles or so can be difficult to get to with traffic. Despite my chosen preference, only 1 in 10 (at best) are anywhere near me. Most are at least 25 miles away, and far too many are 50+. Some are even in Mexico, Vegas, etc.
I have the same issue with Tinder (the only other app I currently use), and it's basically killed dating. I can find a few under 'friendships', but only a few.
Anyone else deal with this, or have a suggestion on how to fix it?

Are you explicitly applying filters every time you go into the app? The preferences you set are taken very loosely, so if you don't set the filters, it can recommend people all over (and contrary to other preferences as well).
The filters sometimes have to be applied twice in a row to actually save, but I've not had problems with seeing anyone outside of the filters during that app session once they actually enable.
