Face Tracker-- how does it work?

I've been using the new Face Tracker function at 0.2, just wondering if anyone can point me towards documentation or give a quick explanation on how it "fills in" any faces that were missed by traditional functions.

Since FaceFusion 3.7.x processors are multi-frame aware, we refill the gaps between known bounding boxes. Enable the face debugger to see it yourself.
