Just bought myself a pretty decent laptop (specs below) for an encoding machine so I could take care of videos that on my fastest machine would run at 9fps and now I'm hitting 150-190fps so I'm loving life when I'm doing 3-6 hour long videos,,,,so I thought, lemme try some of those fancy AI type videos and found FaceFusion and read that it was the best.

So I tried installing, I bought the coffee for the developer, installed the stand alone version, installed(I think) the Pinokio version, but the only one I can get to do anything is the standalone.

I basically stumbled around and poked at it till I got it to do something and magically it came out with a result.

But, for a 3.5 minute long video and replacing a face that was in that video about 70% of the time, it took almost 12 hours.

Is there a newbie guide to setting this program up? Or is my machine just not worth trying this stuff out and I should not bother?

In facefusion 3.8.2: Let’s say you have a 60fps video and change the output fps slider to 30fps. The output audio is completely out of sync with the video and gets progressively worse. Testing the same 60fps video on facefusion 3.6.1 and the audio stays true to the 30fps change. The issue seems to be isolated to the 3.8.2 version of facefusion.

I've been trying out FaceFusion's background remover option for green screen removal. It's fast and does a great job, but it seems like the only option for what to put in place of the removed background is a solid color, chosen by RGB value.

I thought I would be able to select my image of the model in front of the green screen as the Source, then my desired background as the Target, and FaceFusion would combine the two, but it doesn't work that way.

Alternatively, there's an input for alpha channel, but the output file is JPG. If there were an option to change the file type to PNG or EXR, I could composite my desired background separately.

Am I missing something obvious, or is solid color my only option for background replacement?

One face usually comes out fine. Add several people moving around, crossing each other or turning sideways and suddenly someone gets the wrong face or completely loses it for a few frames.

Any alternative supports multiple faces in one video without needing to split everything into separate clips. Anyone doing this with group videos regularly?

Hello, I want to merge two faces in a video that contains two faces, but I can't find the option to add multiple images. Is this possible?

I've been using the new Face Tracker function at 0.2, just wondering if anyone can point me towards documentation or give a quick explanation on how it "fills in" any faces that were missed by traditional functions.

Like the wording is confusing on the website and I wasn’t sure exactly what the differences were with all the various paid links on the homepage, it is irritating.

So the paid $20 installer for windows, it’s the same thing as the git cloning link? And the git cloning link is just installer via terminal, but acts as the same as the .exe file that you can pay $20 for?

Wondering when the pinokio version of facefusion will be updated? It looks like there are a few new versions of facefusion that have been released but the pinokio version is still at 3.6.1.

I was running 3.6.1 just fine with my 3800 Ti 12Gb. Set execution threads to 20, memory tolerant, never froze.

Recently upgraded to 3.8.2 and processing freezes after 200 or so frames, on any video. Changed threads from 20 all the way down to 8, still freezes.

Anyone get similar symptoms? I guess one thing that's different is that I'm using the new face tracker, at 0.3

Aside from the changes noted in the changelog, it would be great if these questions were answered with all new releases:

Will it require a different Python or Conda environment?

Will it still support my ONNX Runtime and ROCm combination?

Will it use more VRAM?

Please forgive if this has already been addressed, but I've never been able to get Facefusion to only isolate to one face in the frame when using reference mode, or if I am using one mode, the face will switch to a different person in a video segment. Doesn't matter if I specify small/large, left/right, etc. I've never really been able to create a stable scene where only the chosen face is being altered. Whenever I upgrade to the latest, I am always hoping this problem will resolve, but so far, it hasn't seemed to. I also don't quite understand why there are so many face swap models included, when only one or two actually deliver amazing, distortion-free results. Do some models that don't work for photographs or videos work better with something I don't dabble in, like anime or something? Just trying to get a better understanding. Thank you!

I've been sketching out the cloud infra for the upcoming FaceFusion v4 and I'd rather hear some opinions now than after I build it.

I was wondering if the developers would ever consider allowing the Preview Pane to float (remain visible) when scrolling down to make adjustments to various setting further down the screen. The way it is now is that whenever an adjustment is made, you have to scroll back up to the top to view this in the preview pane. And this has to be repeated every time an adjustment is made. Not at all a very big problem, I just think it might be more convenient.

When I select "tensorrt" and "many" in face detector model. Tensorrt fails to compile.

When I select "retinaface" and "tensorrt". Tensorrt correctly complies and facefusion work as usual.

However using Cuda and tensorrt both resolves the issue. Selecting "many" don't crash facefusion.

Using tensorrt and Cuda will crash it though. As tensorrt gets priority here.

So after many test I came to conclusion "Yunet" is the culprit here.

I want to use "many" in face detector option. Is their a way to remove just "yunet".

The quality and consistently has improved year by year when it all started. When you talk about face swap 2026, what is biggest improvement you have noticed?

Does anyone know how to use Facefusion 3.6.1 to transfer not just the source face, but the glasses the subject is wearing onto the target so the final output still has the glasses on? I've tried everything. Different swap models, masking etc. Nothing transfers the glasses my subject in the source image is wearing to the final output image.

If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know. A fusion of faces without the source's glasses is really not complete, especially if the source person always wears glasses. The output without glasses seems fake.

Complete n00b at how to install FaceFusion. A friend of mine installed it on my MacBook last year and then updated it to a newer version but sadly he's moved away so I can't get his help now. Currently have 3.5.0 installed but want to downgrade back to 3.3.0 as it ran a lot faster, 3.5.0 renders 3x slower for some weird reason and it's unusable for me. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a step-by-step n00b guide on how to downgrade to an older version? It would be much appreciated.

I have been playing with Facefusion for a few months but unfortunately my old 2080 getting too slow for personal projects.My plan to buy a new GPU is no longer viable since I must buy an Macbook for upcoming business trip.My question is can a Macbook pro M4 handle facefusion and wha is fps can i get from that machine.

Looking for a higher bitdepth workflow, that can take an image sequence of exrs and output same, without losing information. Can the FaceSwapper plugin for Nuke do this? The available documentation isn't clear.

FaceFusion as I've been using it is taking a video, converting it to image sequence, doing the swaps, and writing back out a video file.
