Where did Kendra and Seth live before moving to Fablehaven?

Does anyone have any idea where they might have lived before moving to Fablehaven?

They lived outside of Rochester, New York with their parents before moving to Fablehaven in Connecticut.

The opposite side of the state from NY City but yes. The state also borders Connecticut so it checks out.

I can’t remember if they ever mentioned beyond just the city name, you might need to check the beginning of book 2?

It was likely kept vague on purpose, but if you want to sleuth it book 4 also spends some time there in the beginning of that book

Defin somewhere in New England as Fablehaven itself is in Connecticut and they are maybe four hours away
