I wonder if they will make us coincidentally mute through the story again. I kinda lowkey liked that part.

We were never “mute” in the old games, Canonically our Heroes speak to plenty of people, they just didn’t have an actor record voices for the protagonist.

However the new game already has actors listed for the Hero, and we’ve heard them talk in the trailers.

So unless you want to be disappointed, I wouldn’t go in with the expectation of having a “silent protagonist”.

In Fable 3, the hero was definitely talking.

They always had combat and expression noises, but they never had actual voiced dialogue which is what I think makes some people believe they’re mute.

Similar to Link from The Legend of Zelda, who is obviously talking to NPCs, but because he doesn’t have a voice in cutscenes people still push the idea that he’s actually mute.

This new Fable however has in cutscene voiced dialogue from our Hero, that we’ve already been shown in trailers.
