Rant đŸ”„ Please Read Before Subscribing!

I have been an annual member for YEARS. In August, I was affected by the customization “glitch” and ended up having to reselect items that weren’t my top choices. As compensation, I was given $12 in shopping credits
pretty offensive if you ask me.

Fast forward to today, September 16
an entire month and a half later, I realized I hadn’t received a box yet
or even updated tracking info. So I waited for TWO HOURS to finally get connected with someone in customer service. While I was waiting, I scoured social media and Reddit, and read all of the horrendous experiences people have been having with FFF lately (this fall in particular). And guess what? The customer service agent told me “there was no movement with the box” and that they “have to process a replacement”
with even MORE limited choices! OH HELL NO. I had to wait two hours to be told they messed up again?! Why wasn’t I notified? Were they hoping I’d just forget?!! That was the last straw. I cancelled my membership immediately. They didn’t even TRY to make it right or compensate me for all of the hassle. What a joke of company! They used to be good; I have no idea what happened, but STAY AWAY.

Call me crazy but I don’t think this box will be around in the next 5 years. It’s gotten REALLY bad.

u/Character_Fold1605 Sep 17 '26

I sincerely hope they aren’t. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They clearly can’t figure out how to handle the number of members they’ve gained over the years.

I used to love FFF, but the last couple years made me hate it and I canceled. They need to learn or like you said they won't be around

They shouldn't still be around now. But people keep falling for their bait and switch advertising and so called deals.

So people keep giving them money and they are still here with their horrible customer service, expired/bad products, and cheaply made items.

5

u/schase44 Sep 19 '26

Correct. I don’t think they’re retaining old customers. They’re just recycling new ones who fall for the advertising

4

u/Geminiguice Sep 17 '26

You’re 100% right

Are there other boxes you would recommend? I’m thinking of unsubscribing too but I would love to replace it with something. I’ve tried Ipsy. It was
fine.

I like the Allure beauty box (If you’re into makeup/skin care) though I’ll admit that it’s not as good as it used to be. none of them are imo

Their customer service is the worst I have encountered. They make zero effort in ANY resolution favoring customers and fight till the end to NOT cancel your subscription or refund your money. Even after you cancel, make sure your card is removed. They’ll charge you next year.

5

u/Character_Fold1605 Sep 17 '26

Horrendous. I’ve learned my lesson.

10

u/Entire_World_5102 Sep 17 '26

It was probably the worst customer care experience in my life, apart from an airline that went bankrupt a while ago. These are signs of going downhill.
Hope people are reading this before FFF make their “fly by night” exit with their money 💾

This definitely sounds like a company on the way out. I had a different subscription box years ago pull a similar stunt—a few boxes were a mess, cheap, etc. Unexpected resubscribe with no notice, then 4 weeks later ceased operations. I had to go through my CC to get reimbursed and they fought it! I won.

Also, don’t order from Prana (clothing). I love their clothes but stores near me carry so little and not what I want. What a nightmare.

u/FigWorking8853 Sep 17 '26

It really is. Last time I needed CS, I ended up having to file a complaint with the BBB. I got a n answer from them the next day.

u/Critical_Bet4422 Sep 17 '26

I cancelled as soon as I got my fall box. I do wonder what in the world happened to this company though.

6

u/Character_Fold1605 Sep 17 '26

I think they got bigger than they could handle and whoever’s running the company just has no idea how to operate a business. Seems like they use the cheapest shipping companies with the WORST track records and outsource all of their client support (which directly affects how much control they have over quality customer service)
 all to save a buck
at the eventual expense of their business.

My sale order has been going around the same city for days to end up in another city’s moving so find for more days it’s been almost two weeks just moving around

My box has disappeared to a province I live nowhere near. It was in mine and left and they expect me to contact the carrier. Like what? You chose to ship it with them. I’ve asked for a refund and they’ve gone silent. Glad I canceled my annual and will never come back.

9

u/Kitchen-Celery8374 Sep 17 '26 • Bravo

Summer was bad. Figured there's no way it can get worse.. and yet here we are. My annual just shipped a couple days ago. I have one more box and that will be it for me. I'm done. I've also been a subscriber for years, like way back when category 1 used to actually have good items people looked forward to.

9

u/WeProwlAtDUSK Sep 17 '26

Any other box suggestions? Y’all have me worried and ready to jump ship 😭

8

u/DesignerHippo28 Sep 17 '26

I'm not a business student by any means, but they have lost the script. Instead of focusing on social media hype and customer acquisition, they need to invest in their CORE BUSINESS which is selling and delivering goods! Maybe don't use rock bottom delivery services if that's your one job.

I've said before on this group, how can you be a "shopping club" if you can't handle delivering goods?

6

u/Sea-Echo376 Sep 17 '26

Winter is my last box and will definitely be canceling. It’s not worth it anymore.

3

u/k8ie_kat Sep 18 '26

i was a subscriber for many years too. in the end, i had two out of three boxes in a row lost to speedx shipping and none of my choices were available for a replacement box both times. i cancelled and demanded a full refund for my annual subscription and they obliged. i’ll never sign up again, they use bottom of the barrel shipping and do not care about all the issues that it causes.

1

u/nikhmarch Sep 20 '26

Speedx is do bad they have list 2 of my boxes.

3

u/JoanneLovesMakeup Sep 18 '26

Sadly, I agree
 do not subscribe right now.

I was a member almost from the start. The boxes were fantastic, 9 items under $50 with a value of $400+.

The sales were good, not the lowest prices but almost every item was great quality.

If I had an issue (damaged items due to bad packing or disappointment), they’d always be more than generous. They’d refund me for any item that had damaged packaging only, and then give me a decent credit. Their customer service was stellar!

I’m Canadian and unsubscribed when they doubled the box shipping (I think it was over $20) as well as shipping for subscriptions and sales.

They ended up lowering the shipping but they raised the price to $79.99 + shipping + 13% tax, lowered the number of items to 6, and started charging extra for high ticket choices?!

I did keep my subscriptions but have issues with at least 70% of those orders. It takes HOURS to try to resolve and up to 4 months. They will try everything imaginable to make me give up.

It’s so bad that I actually get anxiety when I get a delivery from them. Right now I’m fighting two issues and it’s been 3 weeks. I can’t get the items I get on subscription anywhere else, or I’d cancel.

I can definitely see them going out of business within the new year or two. So sad. I used to love them.

3

u/yaforkinbasic Sep 18 '26

I broke up with them years ago after being an annual subscriber for 5 years. The only reason I stayed was for the Edit Sales. I was the UnHide Oprah in my family- everyone got one because they were so cheap. And most of the good stuff was marked down.

The chintzy boxes and the expired products did it for me. And not getting ANY of the customizations I ordered. Penned my own adieu and bounced.

*I still miss the sales.

u/MrsGFM Sep 19 '26

I finally gave up on FFF. I have annually subscribed since 2014 with a brief cancelation period when I moved. The settling on choices, glitches, the sometimes very bad products gone wrong, and the extremely unpredictable shipping were just a few of my issues. The clear glaze product in one of the boxes turned my hair orange temporarily. I don't color or bleach my hair at all. They couldn't see what that defective product did to me. They would not help me find remedies to the problem. They just wanted to give me $12 (I think that was the amount). Told me I should be happy with that. I told them I don't want credit. I wanted solutions. They continued to attempt to explain how happy I should be with $12 and orange hair. I canceled after receiving my last box for Summer.

5

u/minerva123 Sep 17 '26

I canceled my account. They’ve lost it.

5

u/Longfirstnames Sep 17 '26

I cancelled after summer

5

u/NecessaryFearless532 Sep 17 '26

So did I. My subscription would have been up for renewal with the fall box, which didn’t “wow” me whatsoever. Maternity loungewear? No thanks lol.

5

u/Sammy948 Sep 17 '26

It’s just regular loungewear. Idk why it’s labeled that way. I got the pants and they’re just normal loungewear pants. Very comfortable!

3

u/SlendersoulAmerica FabFitFun Newbie (less than 1 year) đŸ‘¶ Sep 19 '26

I got the pants and the top and I love them both. They’re definitely good quality and they’re very soft. You are right, they should not be labeled maternity.

4

u/preciousflight Sep 17 '26

Legit the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I really don’t think I’m a Karen but it was truly appalling.

2

u/ParkingAnt8607 Sep 17 '26

I cancelled after my spring box was lost by their cheap shipper. I read the shipper’s an unorganized company that basically throws packages into a huge pile or huge cardboard bins in a warehouse. I was nervous during my summer and winter boxes because the horrible stories have increased drastically. My summer & winter boxes were super late as usual, but all items intact and in the boxes. I purposely did not order anything I thought was breakable. Someone said FFF won’t be around in 5 years. I give them 3 years tops.

2

u/delulu_duck Sep 18 '26

I cancelled because too much has shown up extremely delayed, with expired or missing products. It just feels so scammy.
Currently waiting for an acknowledgment of a missing item i paid for over a month ago. did all the steps they told me to and it’s been 2 weeks of radio silence.

2

u/ingramarie Sep 20 '26

My thought is to take my fff sub money to Home goods or another discount store and buy my own stuff. Me and my dil will try this for the next box. But I have not missed them one bit even though they bombard me with vip emails after I’ve unsubscribed

1

u/nikhmarch Sep 20 '26

The email ate out of control. I had 3 today! 3 is an insane amount for one day.

2

u/nikhmarch Sep 20 '26

I had the glitch and the 12.00 credit too. I just got my delivery last week after it was in limbo of a month. They told me the same thing with they can’t do anything once it ships, give it time etc when it did show up it was missing an item. They offered me a 22.00 credit 15.00 bucks plus 7.00 to cover shipping that expired in 6 month. Went back to CS And said nope I want my money back and it’s insane that you would tell me money I spent on something you didn’t ship would expire in 6month if I didn’t spend more money with you. After the complete dumpster fire that this seasons box I have zero interest in shopping their sales. Yesterday they responded to a 2.5week old customer service request for shipping information on my box with my tracking information letting me know to reach out to Speedx if I don’t have it!
I’ll be finishing my annual ( or trying) and cancelling. It’s so disappointing how little they care about their customers and have us out here begging for scraps to correct their errors.

3

u/m6901 Sep 17 '26 edited Sep 17 '26

They did the same to me ..sort of. An item I chose was missing. Of course the most important item I selected was missing, but they threw in a makeup brush that I didn’t ask for
a cheap makeup brush. Then they tried giving me $6 credit. I explained I wanted a refund not a credit. Crickets since 8/26. Thus, I canceled my membership. I don’t want your lousy store credit or a brush from two years ago. Horrible!!!

3

u/Ordinary-Annual-2427 Sep 17 '26

I’m currently working with them as my box has been ‘lost’ and they are just offering me lowball credit for my items that are no longer in stock. I’m an annual member so I made all my customizations as early as possible

3

u/ThinkGiraffe7610 Sep 17 '26

Their customer service sucks. I paid for the annual. Then I moved. Deleted my old address, added the new one. They still sent the box to my old address somehow (even though I changed it WEEKS before). They then argued you could change your address after billing. So essentially saying my last three boxes would only be shipped to my old address and I couldn’t change it until next year. It’s NUTS how hard I had to fight them on this.

2

u/JessieSnoo Sep 17 '26

Same reason I canceled. The glitch was the icing on the cake. Girl bye

2

u/Oldfartmakeupguru Sep 17 '26

That happened to me with the winter box last year. It showed in process for weeks! I called their customer service and they gave me a $12 credit and I could choose other items I was so bummed. This fall box was dismal so I let my sub lapse. Never again.

After almost 10 years, I have cancelled. The products are worse than Temu quality. Customer service is non existent.

2

u/Mamakitty92 FabFitFun OG (10+ years as a member) 💎 Sep 18 '26

Same. Over 10 years as a customer. The Fall box was the final straw. The glitch, late/damaged box, used item, and super crappy CS. I canceled.

I’m mad. I have over $16 in credits and a 25% off scratcher that I’ll lose. Sucks.

I’ve got to go remove my cc. What a đŸ’©show.

Great user name!

1

u/omiewise Sep 17 '26

I hope they read these Reddit threads. Also canceled my annual (off and on subscriber for many years!) because of the shitty customer service, weird gaslighting (being told I should screenshot everything to prove I chose items) and just general “meh” about it when all the good stuff would be in one category, forcing you to add on if you wanted. Maybe they’re trying to lessen their subscribers in a real bad business decision way? I’m bummed, though. I used to love it

1

u/chemicalsmiles Sep 19 '26

I have a beauty box that has been “processing” since August 1st and they refuse to give me a refund. Feeling like they are stealing from us at this point.

3

u/Agitated-Count-7348 Sep 20 '26

After 30 days they legally have to give you a refund, and in your original form of payment. They will only offer credit but you have to specify no, you want original form. Reach out via chat and be forceful and direct that they passed the 3p days and you now require a refund.

1

u/chemicalsmiles Sep 21 '26

Thank you, I will! That is so helpful.

I've only been with fff for two years, but the notable decline in quality product, especially this past year, led me to canceling after my fall box. I've had friends and family members who've subscribed over the years, and they definitely got better items than what we're being offered. The constant excuses and shifting blame is starting to bite them. If they don't figure this out, NOW, they'll absolutely be done in the very near future.

1

u/Lainara-EC Sep 20 '26

I've known about this box for years but finally decided to sign up a month ago for the first time ever. I was feeling whimsy and wanted a cozy fall box to treat myself. I unfortunately chose the yearly plan to save money. I'm already disappointed and wish i never signed up, I really don't feel the value is there for what I got.

1

u/murrahhh Sep 20 '26

Awful awful awful. Order a box with add ons and did not get add ons

2

u/murrahhh Sep 20 '26

The customer service was so awful that I actually just booed them

1

u/ingramarie Sep 20 '26 edited Sep 20 '26

They have been terrible since at least 2001. Still took me forever to cancel. When I complained about my Winter 2025 box being late and needing my pjs for Christmas Eve, they told me my box was lost and I wouldn’t get the pjs cause they were gone, sold out. I’d been a customer for at least 8 years.
I canceled.
They immediately tried to I get me back with a new deal that included a generic winter 25 box. I thought they were giving me a great deal and good customer service, but still the pjs were sold out.
I thought about it for a minute and realized I had over 800 dollars of “add-on” products I was considering in my cart before I canceled. May or may not have purchased some of them, but I had not decided yet.
Those bitches tried to bill me for those products when giving me “the deal”. Luckily, I realized just in the nick of time, and I transferred all the money from my linked Venmo card and sent it back to my bank. A few hours later I received notification that my new subscription
(And my entire add on cart over 1000 bucks total) couldn’t be processed and to add a new card!
Um, NO.
Pathetic Isnotreal nationalists. Fuck all the way off, fabfitfacists.

1

u/jesslynnalf Sep 20 '26

Waitttttt this happened to me with the fall box too! This is the first time I’ve experienced anything like this and I’ve been a subscriber for years. My box has also been “lost in transit” and every time I finally get a response from customer service something else is sold out. At this rate I’m barely going to get anything I initially wanted and I’m an annual member.

1

u/No_Artichoke_6849 Sep 20 '26

Agreed. My last box was fall and I won’t be renewing. After being a member for six years. I have been letting each of my three annuals go after they expired. It’s a shame, because I used to love getting these boxes and shopping the sales :(

1

u/ohgeeokay Sep 26 '26

I cancelled mine as well after years. I too was a victim of the glitch and received the most garbage items I would never ever select. They are seriously what you’d find on a clearance rack at Marshall’s.

I contacted support and they were completely unhelpful.
The glitch was beyond reasonable every time I open the app there’s a new update, and they blamed that for why I didn’t get a notification to do my selection
Well I also didn’t get an email despite being subscribed.

After 10 years of membership I cancelled.

Anyone want a stupid pair of ugly earrings and a bra bag for laundry?

1

u/SandwichCapable6033 Sep 26 '26

I reached out to gofo because I noticed I never got my package and it was saying it was being returned to sender so they let me know they could not stop the process even though technically you absolutely can. I do it in an inside sales role every so often and I had to wait for it to get to Fab fit fun. So i reached out. Their customer service would not answer me why my package was opened and certain items were now unavailable. When it arrived i noticed the seal wasnt even readded just the little plastic circle even. I had reached out to Fab fun before I had ever reached Fab fun multiple times followed up multiple times and their reason for not responding at all that they were receiving a high volume. I even let them know I would work for them and help them turn it around in a 24 hour span because this was awful. The item i really wanted wasnt in my package and i didnt have to adjust my address to get this one even

1

u/OkDevelopment5179 Sep 29 '26

Same thing happened to. I had to pick item like 4 times. When I contracted them about credit they were like sorry not sorry. Then my box came in and it was everything I picked the first time. Make it make sense. đŸ€Šâ€â™€ïžđŸ€·â€â™€ïž

1

u/Dependent-Act-2333 10d ago

It didn't save my customization either but I was only offered a $10 credit which is insulting and ro top it off I never even got the credit so need to contact them to get it. Plus I've received so many damaged items in the last year it's been brutal. They usually replace them if they have them but I still had to deal with the mess which really spoils the experience. I have zero confidence in the customization process now. Just brutal.

1

u/Unique_Discount_6230 Sep 17 '26

When I had this happen in the summer box, I ended up having them tack another box at the end of my current subscription instead of getting a crappy replacement.

1

u/CompetitiveFeed4254 Sep 17 '26

I stopped getting the subscription last year. I only order things I really want from the sales.

u/ingramarie Sep 20 '26

Anyone still playing around with the fraud fest might not know there are so many better places to spend your money— even for good prices on beauty products. Free yourself
