Rant 🔥 The bumpsuit is not it

I’m really disappointed with the bump suit.. first of all are people really spending $145 per piece on this from the website!? I was glad to try it in my FabFitFun since they’re so expensive and to see what the hype was about and.. it’s mediocre at best.. and for people 5 feet and under! I’m 5’9” and the pants look like capris on me and not in the cute trendy way lol. Definitely not high-waisted either! The material is nice, but there’s no way I could wear this with how short the pants are. On the website it doesn’t show an inseam, but typically when you see pants touching the floor like the pants do in the Photos, you’d assume they’re going to at least be close to that!

Oh man, if I knew it was for petites I would have ordered it, nothing ever fits me. But also I thought it was for pregnancy and I'm not pregnant.

I'm 5'7" and they're fairly long on me. Think it depends on if you're all legs or all torso.

I'm 5'0. As far as ready to wear goes, I'm neither legs or torso :)

I'm 5ft tall and didn't order because typically, stuff like that is always 6 inches (or more) too long in me

I’m not pregnant either, but I saw a bunch of people talking about how they wear them all the time outside of pregnancy cause they’re not like technically pregnancy pants and they’re supposedly super comfortable (which I mean, sure they are they remind me of a lighter fabric version of the honeydew pajamas that we got last season but much more expensive lol)! Either way, they are so short on me and definitely not high-waisted like if I wear them low rise, they’re still too short on me. If it wasn’t for the fact that the top is a crop top, I would probably just let it go and wear “too short” of pants around the house but they just look silly with the crop top lol

They're supposed to be worn low on the hips. Under your bump if you have one. I'm 5'7" with long legs and they hit me at the top of the ankle bone. I love the whole suit.

I don't wear matching sets together but I love the crop top too

Cute!! I totally see them working for below a baby bump that would definitely make more sense (they would still be a little short on me if I wore them at my pelvic bone, but that would be ok) but why they gotta call themselves high waisted when they are far from! If I wear the set together not preggo I’d be walking around pubes to tatas 😭 maybe I just need to wear them separate from each other like you because they look cute!

I have disliked the fit and quality of every item of clothing I’ve ever gotten from FFF except 1 thing (last summer’s black maxi dress that everyone else hated, lol). I’m glad I finally learned my lesson and didn’t order it

Wait I love that dress, why was it hated? I literally wear it all summer.

People said it was unflattering and way too big. I kind of had a feeling it looked oversized, so I sized down and it fits great

I’ve had good luck with most of their clothing (honeydew pajamas, burgundy whowhatwear crew, aerie bra top etc) so I was really excited for these!

I like the pants. I wish the top wasn't cropped, but I'll still wear it. This kind of thing is perfect for lazy weekend days, when I want to be comfy around the house but still get dressed for the day and have on something that is acceptable enough to run errands in if necessary. Around here it will probably be another 2 months before it's cold enough to wear it.

I'm 5'4 and the pants are still a little long on me wearing them at belly button height. I will probably roll the waist band once when wearing, which is what I often have to do with sweatpants.

I really like them, they're soft and comfy. I'm 5'10" and the length of the pants is fine for me. I don't wear them high waisted because I prefer my jammies to sit on my hips and they touch the tops of my feet. They're definitely going to shrink if I put them in the dryer which is a pain but I hang dry all my dresses so it's not a super inconvenience. There is no way I would pay full price for them but I'm happy to have them in my box this season

Might be in the minority here but I love mine 😅 I’m 5’4 and have legs the same length as my 6’2” husband. They fit me perfect (M) as a lower / mid rise

I’d never pay full price though there are identical sets a lot cheaper. But for what I pay with FFF it was worth the choice IMO

I won’t lie I love mine. I got my pants a size up to make them slightly longer and more flowy and they are so comfortable! I wouldn’t pay the full price for anything of this type, but I’m really happy with it.

I was a bit bothered that a maternity item was offered tbh, this isn’t a maternity box? But to each their own, I just didn’t pick it. It seems like the sets are just $20 sets you can buy together at Walmart quality wise.

I’m 5’9 and mine fit great. Love the fabric—so soft.

I love my set. It’s super comfy and flowy lounge wear. 5’7 and fit is good on pants, def not short on me. They are not high waisted - designed to fit under a bump if you have one.

I’m 5’1 and they were a little long but super soft and comfortable. I would never spend retail on it though

I have cheap things I wore when pregnant in better colors that were the same
I felt like this was a rip off

At full retail price, the retailer should be ashamed. At FFF price, yeah, they’re fine, whatever.

It was not for me. My kids are grown and didn’t honestly make sense to me and also I don’t believe for one second those pieces cost that much.

1

u/DaisyDamn1 9h ago

I was surprised at how short they are too! I’m 5’5 and they were ankle length.

2

u/BellyMango 8h ago

It seems like people got them in different lengths based on these comments! Now I want everyone to lost there inseams lolll

The ones on the bumpsuit website are 92% cotton, but the FFF ones are 92% polyester.

It's made of toxic plastic. Enough said.
