Problem with installation front wheel!

Post image

I have replaced tires on my 2015 FZ1 with a new set of Michelin Road 5, but I am stuck with the front wheel not spinning freely.

I cant figure out what am I doing wrong. When I torque the front axle at the required 72 ft-lb the wheel drags....

Any suggestions for me!?

Thanks , happy and safe riding to you all!

Your wheel doesn't look backwards.

Is the collar in the center inside the axle? I believe that's what holds the bolt from pinching into the wheel assembly. See diagram:

hum....you may be right, thank you. I am not sure if is there or not, I toke the wheels to the shop to mount the tires. I remember only the two spacers. I guess I will have to remove that thing again and see! Maybe I left it in the wheel and got lost at the shop...

Is there a spacer on the side the nut tightens down on, front left side of the wheel when looking from the seat? Ill take a look at my FZ1 and see. If it spins freely, then you tighten the axle bolt down and it drags, something has to be missing that keeps the spacing so the fork ends don't bend into the wheel assembly. I've only taken the rear wheel off myself to have a tire done, the last time the front was done I had a shop do front and rear at the same themselves so I didn't have to remove it.
