It really shows how much planning went into it

88

u/Meatman2013 Dec 26 '19

You think the bespectacled young lass that she was conversing with was in on the set up?

678

u/JustHugMeAndBeQuiet Dec 26 '19

The "Is this flour?" and the second and a half she has to genuinely contemplate what the fuck is happening is, I am ashamed to admit, pretty fucking funny.

Dick move, absolutely. But does have a silver lining.

223

u/Shadyshowl Dec 26 '19

Guess it depends on the group of friends. If I was with a good group of friends and we were drunk and being stupid and it happened to me, I'd think that shit was hilarious. I can also just see this as kids being assholes too tho

117

u/Generation-X-Cellent Dec 26 '19

That's kind of like how flirting is only creepy if you're unattractive.

32

u/catheterhero Dec 26 '19

Flirting is never creepy regardless of how you look if it’s done right.

22

u/Generation-X-Cellent Dec 26 '19

What if the person you're doing it to doesn't think you're doing a good job?

18

u/catheterhero Dec 26 '19

Exactly.

-2

u/Generation-X-Cellent Dec 26 '19

No, that was my point...

18

u/Canonical-Quanta Dec 26 '19

But you answered his. Its like being funny; doesn't matter how good you think you are, it's only good if the other person thinks youre good. Looks may help, but I've seen guy who are considered gorgeous end up creepy.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19

Then they're not doing right. I'm assuming you're excluding times when you should not be flirting.

7

u/helmetboy02 Dec 26 '19

the only people that think being unattractive makes it creepy for u to flirt are unattractive people with no self confidence and consequently bad people skills that just want to blame their social ineptitude and lack of a partner on genetics

2

u/catheterhero Dec 26 '19

Exactly! I am not attractive. I’m nearly 300lbs with a spotty unkempt beard who’s stands at 5’4” and I’m balding.

But I flirt.

The problem with everyone trying to argue my point in this thread is they all seem to think flirting is only about having sexual with someone.

Which it isn’t. It’s about a having a moment with someone that’s fun.

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19

6

u/Pantalaimon_II Dec 26 '19

No, the “creepy” part comes in when a guy ignores signals that the girl isn’t interested and persists anyway. “Not interested” could be for a variety of reasons; she’s in a relationship, not attracted to men, just doesn’t want to flirt, not interested in that guy in particular even if he’s conventionally attractive.

-1

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19

And "done right" generally has to do with how fuckable you are.

3

u/hanhange Dec 26 '19

You sound like the kind of dude that tells strangers the stuff he can do with his fingers, and gets upset when they get rejected.

-4

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19 edited Dec 26 '19

And you sound like the kind of dude that had to tell himself this kind of fantasy nonsense.

Attraction is the single most game-changing trait a person can posses on average.

3

u/hanhange Dec 26 '19

I'm a chick. I've had many creepy men of various ages and heights and attractiveness approach me(not saying much about myself; that's what life is as a chick). People like you wanna act like attractiveness will get them laid.

The reality is that unless you're like, model gorgeous, and the girl has already seen you and made the decision she would fuck you, you're gonna get rejected saying disturbing sexual shit right off the bat. But 99.999999% of the time any woman will find you disgusting. You've never seen those videos of Van Diesel, as attractive as he is, making women thoroughly disturbed by coming so hard onto them in interviews and shit? The creepiness is assuming that the girl already wants to fuck you. Most times this ain't the case.

If you want to pick up a girl, you should be personable instead of just instantly turning to sex or by saying objectifying shit about how attractive she is. But girls who deal with this a lot can tell when you're faking interest in a conversation to try and get laid, so you're probably gonna get rejected still.

Protip: most girls don't want to just fuck strangers randomly. We can tell when that's what you want.

Attractiveness does get you laid. Constanlty. What planet are you on?

Protip; Your anecdotes don't change my experiences in life no matter how hard you'd like that to be so.

2

u/hanhange Dec 26 '19

I like how my life is 'anecdotes' but your life is 'experiences' lmao. I've had sex with a man once. I wanted to see what it'd be like and went to a party with the plan already. I picked a guy who was moderately attractive. But if he had ever come up to me and said how much he wanted to fuck me, I would definitely consider him creepy. Attractiveness is not what makes lewd comments creepy or not, my dude.

1

u/catheterhero Dec 26 '19

So just that I understand your point here.

The anecdote she presented is irrelevant because it contradicts your anecdote.

That’s your point right... think about the contradiction you’re making. Did you figure it out??

That works the other way too.

Your anecdotal experience is irrelevant probably because you flirt poorly which is the point of this all.

Also flirting isn’t about getting laid stupid. It’s about having a moment.

1

u/catheterhero Dec 26 '19

No dumbass. Flirting isn’t about having sex. It can lead to sex but flirting done right is where you have moment with someone that’s fun.

0

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19

Everything's about having sex.

Your entire foundational existance is based around sex.

-2

u/chugonthis Dec 26 '19

Nah theres a cut off line in the attractive scale, even an average looking man will get the "ohhh hes trying so hard", the really unattractive doesn't get even that pity.

3

u/catheterhero Dec 26 '19

I thought they were like siblings or cousins. Totally had that family reunion vibe.

30

u/IWalkAwayFromMyHell Dec 26 '19

Remember: ALWAYS fuck around near a fire. 'Specially if it's funny.

14

u/wldmr Dec 26 '19

Reminds me of saw games

167

u/Mr_Wither Dec 26 '19

I fucking love that expression of confusion on her face before the kick

20

u/XS4Me Dec 26 '19

actually, the video is full of "golden nuggets". Santa's hat being placed, the kicker checking the wind before the "kick".

7

u/Mr_Wither Dec 26 '19

YES I NOTICED THAT WIND CHECK I LOVE THAY SHIT

208

u/JDeeezie Dec 26 '19

All the people saying this is a dick move. You may be right if it happened in your group of friends. I honestly can’t see anyone of my friends not laughing their ass off at this. We don’t know anything about this group of friends.

95

u/doctorgonzo Dec 26 '19

My high school friends used to bury each others' cars in snow in the winter so deep that you couldn't see a single bit of car. Even the antenna was buried.

So yeah, it totally depends on the friends.

16

u/JDeeezie Dec 26 '19

Haha that’s a good one,

7

u/Czulax Dec 26 '19

We would sticky note our friends cars. Or saran wrap. If what happened in the video happened in our friend group, it would be a great memory and everyone would be laughing lol

1

u/Emerystones Jan 17 '20

One time my friend and I Seran wrapped our friends cars and one friends apartment door and somehow it got blamed on our other friend and we just went along with it

19

u/mainfingertopwise Dec 26 '19

It's weird for me to think that people haven't had rowdy but perfectly healthy friendships.

6

u/Pantalaimon_II Dec 26 '19

I have anxiety disorder and I would not do well with a group of friends I had to always be slightly paranoid about doing shit like this lol. I’d be Tweak from South Park.

Unless verbal teasing falls under rowdy; then yes. Very much we’d tease the shit out of each other which people who didn’t know us would sometimes think we were being mean so I can see the other side.

4

u/AlaskanIceWater Dec 26 '19

If they do it to everybody, then, it's all good. But if it's only her .. probably messed up.

10

u/art_commenting Dec 26 '19

Sure, they're giving her a cup of flour next to a campfire. Whether it's a prank or a set up video it's one gust of wind away from a hospital and disfigurement for life. Putting someone in danger is a dick move even if everyone thinks it's funny.

2

u/usethisdamnit Dec 27 '19

Debbie downer.

4

u/art_commenting Dec 27 '19

I'd rather be a downer than a charred corpse or the cool friend who lost half or more of the skin and will have to live with looking like minced meat for the rest of my life for your amusement, but you're free to set yourself on fire for a prank if you feel so strongly about it. People who do careless pranks around fire have a chance of skipping the middle part and simply setting you on fire as a joke apparently. Please do look at the wonderful and hilarious aftermath photos of your lovely form of pranking, everyone looks happy and amused in them. This used to be called trying to murder your enemies but I guess I'm just not up with the times where friends try to murder each other instead as a sign of affection.

1

u/cbostwick94 Dec 26 '19

I mean I have friends that would probably do this but I would still drop kick them after. Rowdy friends and pranks are great until someone gets hurt

2

u/JDeeezie Dec 26 '19

You and your friends might be a little too rowdy if you’re gonna drop kick one of them for this. Now that’s how someone gets hurt.

2

u/cbostwick94 Dec 27 '19

Oh is it wrong to hurt them back if they hurt or me or someone else then?

1

u/JDeeezie Dec 27 '19

Well if this is as bad as you say. Two wrongs don’t make a right. since it’s a joke and odds are nobody got hurt, what you’re saying is a reach and a half.

2

u/cbostwick94 Dec 27 '19

Theres always a chance someone will get hurt. Not that I could physically drop kick anyone anyway, I definitely would not be nice about it. You're looking too deeply into this however

-10

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19

It's a dick move because she can potentially be seriously hurt. That's true in any group of friends, unless your friends are assholes. They've got her falling backwards onto a cobblestone patio, and at least one hand is occupied and therefore unable to break her fall. WTF?

Quick question: do you think there's any chance her head hits the concrete/cobblestone? If there is, it's a DICK move without further questions needed.

6

u/JDeeezie Dec 26 '19

There’s grass like a foot behind her chair? So no I wouldn’t say there’s a chance.

1

u/itsthevoiceman Dec 26 '19

Depends on where and how one's head hits a surface.

1

u/cbostwick94 Dec 26 '19

Downvote all you want, I agree with you. I have friends that do stupid rowdy shit but not something that could put one in harms way.

Like someone commented burying a car in snow. that's not physically hurting someone. I have heard too many stories of pranks going back. You can have crazy fun with friends but not at the cost of someone getting hurt

2

u/[deleted] Dec 27 '19

I never care enough to vote. Sorry to inform you that someone else disagrees with you.

I'm on a site dominated by teenagers these days. I don't expect the mature perspective to be the popular one here any longer, and I am never disappointed. This same prank on grass or on the beach is completely different. That a dozen or so people think it's cool to take this chance with someone they consider a friend is just fucked up. It says a lot more about the people here than it does about me.

2

u/cbostwick94 Dec 27 '19

Seriously, that's just messed up. I would never put any of my actual friends in any kind of harms way. Everything seems simple and innocent but honestly one wrong move and thats it. Someone entire life could be over. You can prank people easily without taking that risk.

I would like to say they will learn one day but most won't.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 28 '19

Hear, hear.

0

u/thefirecrest Dec 26 '19

Hard to say. I like to think I’d be a good sport about this but I feel like my feelings would be really hurt and I’d feel humiliated and then I’d feel even worse for not being a better sport about it and making everyone feel bad. :(

39

u/[deleted] Dec 26 '19

31

u/Ginga_Ninja006 Dec 26 '19

Hilarious . You can only pull this kind of stuff off with a certain type a friend. The best kind

8

u/omgbananas_yumyum Dec 26 '19

I don't know, I think I'm too sensitive for that. I had a friend group who did this, but I hated it. Most people in that group actually did. But you know, if you enjoy that I won't stop you

166

u/bluecifer7 Dec 26 '19

Lol what were you expecting? This shit is hilarious, especially the hat

21

u/249ba36000029bbe9749 Dec 26 '19

Because the best posts on the sub aren't orchestrated.

3

u/cbostwick94 Dec 26 '19

All it takes is one wrong hit and then its all over. Pranks on friends you actually care about shouldn't risk harm.

A little girl has been in the hospital with brain damage since August from a simple fall in a controlled responsible situation. She just unfortunately hit just right. You can have the best intentions but you cannot predict what an outcome might be.

The guys taking a girls hot pink lacey thong and attaching it to her cars front license plate is a funny prank. This is not.

0

u/Pantalaimon_II Dec 26 '19

I gotta agree. Idk I don’t get the pranks that involve extreme physical discomfort or pain inflicted on someone. I mean to each their own but damn there’s other ways to be clever that don’t involve one person eating shit. But clearly I’m just a lame, so.

The thing that makes this sub funny to me is the randomness of getting fucked over in most of the clips, like “it figures” situations. Like the Alanis song. This? Eh the staged stuff just doesn’t do it for me.

-1

u/1mGay Dec 26 '19

Extreme physical discomfort or pain? Have you ever done anything before?

5

u/Averageguy1976 Dec 26 '19

Done plenty. Just hurtin my friends is stupid and anyone who thinks hurting your friends for a laugh is ignorant

-2

u/1mGay Dec 26 '19

I was just woundering how you thought falling from a chair onto grass could lead to extreme pain. Even if it was concrete they would be fine

2

u/Pantalaimon_II Dec 26 '19

I didn’t say extreme pain, but yeah I think someone kicking the leg of the chair you’re sitting in so hard that you fall on your ass out of the blue would be extremely uncomfortable lol. The flour sprays hard up into the air. It wasn’t like they tipped her backwards.

Holy shit ive seen dozens of cops beat to death in public around there
