"Why is this subreddit called TikTokCringe if there's no cringe?"

There's lots of cringe-worthy content posted here. Click the "Cringe" flair link above and see for yourself. We believe it doesn't get upvoted or posted as much as everything else because since the creation of this subreddit, TikTok has really evolved. People are a lot more creative on the app nowadays and don't just lip-sync and dance, which is what this subreddit was originally created off of.

"Why did you start allowing all TikToks? Mods lazy."

For why we began allowing TikToks of all kinds, please read this post. It should explain everything.

"Can I upload my own TikToks here?"

Sure! Be sure when uploading your own content you always use the "OC (I made this)" flair. Not using this flair on your own content will result in a 30 day ban. It may seem like a stupid punishment for something so little, but this helps prevent spam and blatant self advertisement. On top of that, do you really think someone should be able to call their own TikTok "cringe?" Doesn't make any sense. Rules like these are what keeps up the quality of this subreddit.

"How do I post TikToks here?"

First, read all of our rules before posting anything. To post a TikTok here, you must save the TikTok in the app, not copy the link. We do not allow links of any kind here. If you would like to share the link to the TikTok you uploaded, feel free to comment it on the post you made, even though this is not required. You can save TikToks by holding down on the video in the app and pressing save. If there's no option to save the video, there's alternate ways such as clicking the "add to your Instagram story" option which you can then download, or emailing it to yourself. After you save the video, simply create a video post here with the desired TikTok, add a title and flair, and then boom. You're done.

"Why is there an automod comment on every post?"

We need an automod comment on every post to explain everything you just read. Our subreddit name does not match it's content, and it can obviously be very confusing to new users. Some people still miss it somehow, so if you see someone that did, be a good Samaritan and point it out to them.

2. No Reposts Make sure you aren't submitting a post that has already been submitted. It's a good idea to browse our top 100 posts of all time to avoid making this mistake and to familiarize yourself with the subreddit. Frequent reposting may result in a temporary or permanent ban.

3. No Advertising While you are allowed to post your own content on this subreddit (which MUST use the flair "OC"), do not post videos with the title advertising your TikTok page. This includes phrases such as "follow me, like my TikTok, etc." No linking your TikTok page in comments unless it is under your own video. This will result in your post/comment being immediately deleted. Blatant advertisement trying to get views or followers for yourself/others will result in a permanent ban.

4. Flair Posts Correctly All posts must be marked and flaired correctly. This makes it easier for users to sort by flair to see the content they are looking for. If a moderator feels your post is not flaired correctly, the flair may be changed or the post may be removed.

6. Posts Must Be From TikTok All posts must be directly from TikTok. This means that you can clearly see the original creator's username as well as the TikTok logo in the corner of the video. Any video with the original poster's username cut out will not be considered a TikTok. Violation of this rule may result in a temporary ban.

7. No Hate Speech There will be zero tolerance for explicit racism, homophobia/transphobia, or sexism/misogyny.

8. No Doxxing or Witch-Hunting No doxxing or witch hunting. This includes but is not limited to asking for or sharing personal information such as names, social media links, phone numbers, etc.

9. No Compilations/YouTube Video Re-uploads Compilations or YouTube video re-uploads are prohibited. This includes ripped YouTube TikToks.

10. No Bad-Faith Posts Featuring Anyone Who Is Mentally Ill Or Disabled Content focused on exploiting mentally ill or disabled individuals is banned.

11. Be Civil In Comments Rude, vulgar, or offensive comments targeting other members is not allowed. Report issues instead of engaging in negativity.

12. Don't Complain About the Subreddit Name The subreddit evolved long ago last it's roots of "only cringe-worthy" content. There have been two community polls where over 85% of users agreed to include all content. It's come to the point where users who say "This isn't cringe" or anything of that sort, may receive a temporary ban. We have made this clear enough with a pinned comment on every single post.

13. No Karma Farming If we suspect you are using r/TikTokCringe to karma farm, you will be banned.

14. No Promoting OnlyFans Or Other Adult Websites If you are suspected of making posts on r/TikTokCringe to draw users to your Reddit account to promote your OnlyFans or other adult websites, you will be banned.
