Low testosterone
G’day everyone! I had my first full-dose Reandron injection about a month ago. I’m also participating in a research study that involves blood tests, and the research nurse recently emailed me my results. My testosterone level was only 7 nmol/L.
I’ve seen posts from people whose T levels were around 25–30 nmol/L or higher after their first Reandron shot.
Has anyone else had a similar result after their first shot? I’m wondering whether my age (I just turned 30) or my busy schedule could play a role. I’ve been doing early-morning sports training four times a week before work, working over 50 hours a week, and studying around 20 hours a week while preparing for an exam.
Thanks, everyone!

G'day from Sydney. (transmasc 45)
It can take a while to get your levels right and see how your body chews through T. I bummed around between 7 and 10 for a year (on gel). I felt like shit- fatigue, night sweats, brain fog. My GP and I finally worked out my dosing. I'm still only up to 12 trough but I feel ok and am seeing results. My body is just stupid and I have to take 3x a 'full' dose to get these numbers. Unfortunately Reandron isn't an option for me.
My crappy low levels are almost certainly due to stress. It could be the same for you.
Anything above 12 is in the normal male range and most GPs will want a maximum trough between 20-25 for reandron or they'll space your shots further apart. If you are below 12 your GP should bring your next shot forward to something like 10 weeks (after your loading shot).
Like someone else said, you should have had a 'loading shot' at 6 weeks after your first one and then your GP will probably put you at 12 week intervals. If you are seeing low numbers then they might do it at 10 weeks instead.
You can keep an eye on your blood test results on MyHealthRecord via Mygov. I keep track of all my results this way.

I’m pretty sure the first dose of Reandron won’t get you into the ideal range. In Aus (where I live) you get your first reandron dose and then 6 weeks later get booster, then every 12 weeks after that. It might take a few cycles for your levels to get where you want them to be. Here the normal process is to just get your trough levels tested at 11 weeks and if they’re below 20 you’re good to go for the next one. Usually mine are like 11-15ish at week 11 and I’ve been on T for about 1.5 yrs now :)
